This is really sad. By the description could be career ending.

Yeah. Vorm is a 10 year plus veteran with international experiance.
Like I say, if I were Spurs I'd be reluctant to let him go as I know who I'd prefer as cover.

A real shame for Gordon. Hopefully we can get ourselves covered before the window shuts.

Feel for the guy but at least this will force Brendan's hand for getting a new keeper

Think this is the end of his career, I'm afraid... a bad ligament injury will take rest of the season to heal, and most of next to get physio/back to fitness - which he's a bit old for. I think we'll see him replaced with a loan until the summer (too late in the window for the club to find a quality replacement) and we'll pay him off/replace him if he retires.

I'm not any kind of expert, just a feeling this is how it'll go...

Hopefully one that's a bit more comfortable with his philosophy of playing from the back, not that i'm blaming Gordon for that! We'll be doing well to get this plus Gordon's shot-stopping/reflex ability though!!

Still think there's a debate for changing this style against good level Euro oppostion as these beatings are getting sorer and sorer and my calculator is about done in but that's not for this thread!! Personally, i've not seen a lot of improvement in these matches since Barca whipped us last year!!

Think we might stick with DDV for the rest of the season and just bring in cover this window tbh

That's my thinking and prob wil be the clubs too.......takes the heat of them having to get a first choice No1 if you make DDV that and get a half decent back-up!!

Apart from one horrendous pass, I thought he was excellent yesterday - particularly with TWO one on one saves.

Was unfortunate to see him fail to return for the second half, gutted to hear he's * his knee again.

Given we never paid a penny for him and he has played so much over such a long period of success he must be one of our best value signings ever. He's had some cracking game saving saves recently.

Has his weaknesses but definitely a big loss if he is out for the forseeable.

I've not been his biggest fan as of recent, but he was really good yesterday up until the injury which even at that was a * brave effort from him.

He's definitely given us great service over the years I'l give you that. And aye, for a freebie he has been great value over his Celtic career.

Would love to see us spend big on a quality keeper, mid twenties.

No doubt we'll loan in a 38 year old.

    All about the collective
MCL is nowhere near as bad as the ACL but * knows with Gordons knee.

Would be a decent time to try and phase in a young sweeper keeper if we spend big on one

For the style of play Rodgers has us playing we need a keeper who can pass, until we get one we'll not be able to reach our potential.

Aye it's not for this thread but in Europe we need to be smarter and play the way that has gotten us success in the past rather than trying to replicate our domestic style
