Not a sad way for his career to end at all. He thought it was over years ago and came back. To go out after winning a treble undefeated is not bad at all.

Yes in the context of where he was, it is of course a huge achivement for him to have been involved in a treble-winning team. But for it to end now is *. This injury will probably force his retirement, irrespective of what happened last season, for any player's career to end because of injury is sad.

Where is all this circulating from regarding him doing his crucial role ligaments in? Also, did anyone that was at the game today see how Gordon left the field? It didn’t show it on the stream so I presumed it wasn’t via a stretcher, but someone who was there will obviously know...

If this doesn’t make us pull the finger out and sign a GK then I’ll be * fuming!

Celtic may be looking for a new goalkeeper after Craig Gordon suffered a knee injury in the 1-0 win over Hibs.

Goalscorer Leigh Griffiths is also a cause for concern after breaking down with a recurrence of a calf problem.

Celtic play Zenit St Petersburg in the Europa League on 15 February and manager Brendan Rodgers is worried both players will be absent.

"Both are struggling," said Rodgers. "Craig looks a bit more serious in terms of his knee."

Gordon, 35, who lost two years of his career due to an injury to his left knee before signing for Celtic in 2014, was hurt after colliding with Hibs defender Efe Ambrose at the end of the first half.

The Scotland international did not return after the interval, with Dorus de Vries taking over.

"We need to have a look at that and the scan because he could be out for a period of time. Efe's weight maybe twisted his MCL (medial collateral ligament) so we will see how that is."

Rodgers added that he will "look at his goalkeeping situation" before the transfer window closes at midnight on Wednesday.

He said: "We sent young Conor Hazard out on loan (to Falkirk) to get experience. So that is an area we might need to look at for sure."

    Gutted for him.

Don't care if he's not everyones cup of tea (including me). No player should have their career possibly end due to circumstances they couldn't really control. Would be a very * way to end it all. Hopefully he can make a recovery and continue playing, although you'd imagine it may not be at Celtic.

Very sad for him. Its not a good way to finish a career. He's taken far too much of the stick that he deserved in comparitive terms to other players. His decision making is his weak point for me, and it's a key element for the way Rodgers wants his gk to play. Regardless of this injury I think maybe his time here was due to be up in the summer anyway. I genuinely hope he plays again.

Vorm for me but that would only be a stop gap too surely. Hes 34 aswell. Out of contract in summer but Spurs 3rd choice isn't very experianced.

This is where the scouting list comes in, we should have names already in mind for eventualities like this, in every position, so as to ensure no panic buys.

Best keeper we’ve had for a long, long time.

Devasting for us and him. Likely to be the end of his Celtic career.

Didn’t actually see the incident because my stream was playing up. Early days yet though hopefully it isn’t as bad as first feared.

Not long signed a contract extension, which is probably his last anyway. His career is fine in regards to his long term future.
Hopefully this pushes us on to sign a new GK, a long term number 1 I hope and what a difference this could make to our squad as a whole.

Yes he is, but what I meant was Spurs 3rd choice isn't, so they may be reluctant to let Vorm go if they don't feel they have proper cover.

Gutted for him. All but the end of his time here.

Gave us one of the most iconic celebrations ever last season.

I’m gutted for him and hope it’s not the end for him (even though I’ve said repeatedly that we need to be thinking of buying a replacement), but the first part of your post is nonsense. Craig Gordon isn’t even in the top two goalkeepers we’ve had in the last ten years.

What? Since Forster you mean? He’s worse than him and Boruc, comfortably.
