They say crime don't pay... Well sometimes it does, and some time it don't.

It's time for our next Rankdown...

All of your favourite crime capers, courtroom dramas, doin' hard time or trying to get away from it.

Doesn't have to be serious drama - comedy, sci fi, thriller etc - whatever genre, so long as it fits the theme.

(Note:- not Batman, Joker, Spiderman etc things)

    Schedule

You bhoys & ghirls all know the drill by now...

This week just list as many films as you want that fit the criteria.

    Nominations close: Sunday 29 May @ 3pm

Next Sunday the compiled list of nominees will be posted

At which time we then move to the ranking phase.

    Rankings close: Sunday 5 June @ 8pm

The Reveal is then progressively rolled out from the following night.

This is open to everyone as per usual, but will tag the usual suspects either tonight or tomorrow.

Whether fact or fiction, innocent or guilty, bring 'em on!

Basically, list any movie that fits the criteria, of being about doing crime or time, courtroom etc, that you might want to vote for, or at least make sure it is included for others to vote for (when the time comes) but for now its just the nomination phase, so feel free to nominate as many as you want that fits the criteria, whether its true or fictional, drama, comedy, thriller etc.

Will people watch the selected films or will the more obscure films just inevitably lose off popularity alone?

People will vote for what they've seen obviously. Not expecting people to have seen every film that gets nominated. The last one of these (1980's) there was close to 400 films nominated (can't remember exactly), but not expecting people to sit through 400 movies.

That said, you'd be surprised how many obscure/non-English language etc films pop up and do get support. If you're not sure feel free to go back and look at how any of the previous ones have gone. It's just for a bit of fun after all. :)

In the Name of the Father is as emotional a film as it gets. A few in this list are pretty thought provoking as well, found Dark Waters especially so.
