You can add BT and Premier Sports to this, I was informed when I phoned that there would be no charges on my account for the next couple of months. Direct Debit cancelled for both as they aren’t even answering calls now.

Our lowest paid on furlough also, whilst we have one of the highest paid CEO’s in the UK. You couldn’t mark that * neck with a blowtorch.

Difference is that our club are paying the extra 20% to those on furlough, so making up their full wages, even though they don't have to.

Why wouldn't they be on furlough though? Is it just football clubs that get this harsh treatment? Last I heard companies with trillions in the bank have employees on the same and nothing said. I'm sure when they raise taxes for high earners etc after all this these clubs will soon pay that back and more.

So are Liverpool, doesn’t make it any less embarrassing imo. You have a CEO who is on massive money yet you applaud the decision to make up the 20%.

Just heard she has apologised. Too little too late.

This is an utter embarrassment. I'm actually a bit lost for words at her actions. * shocking.

@Drakhan one of many stuck miles away from struggling family and the CHIEF MEDICAL OFFICER is galavanting and flaunting her own advice. She can shove her apology. I'm raging.

She’s got to go, as in sacked.
She obviously didn’t think the rules applied at her level.

She is very good at her job overall though, I think a full and frank apology will see her escape that.

In other news I see Pete is getting it again.. some folk are gonna have egg on their face shortly but I don't suppose they will be as quick to apologise as they are to accuse, such is life I suppose.

At the level she is at, it should be a given that she’s very good at her job. Shouldn’t count though mate.

She should be leading by example.

I don't like to see folk hounded from a job, and at a critical time like this it might not help, but I struggle to see how anyone can trust her now.

There is no getting away from this howler though. She is there with her whole family and dogs, chatting away to locals, I assume from the pics. This isn't a concerned trip to "check" on anything or anyone. This is a jaunt. And a slap in the face to every single one of us who are following the rules.

Aye, everybody sit in their hoose, don't go out, don't talk to your neighbours, most importantly don't question anything unless it's to engage in the witchhunt.

    Meanwhile.....

The situation is unbelievable. I can't believe she could be quite so stupid. I am not for hounding people out of their job, but given her role in this crisis I can't see her surviving this.

That has absolutely nothing to do with what I'm speaking about.

It's not a witch hunt, it's a CMO contradicting her own advice to the public, and I'm passing comment on that specific incident.

Also, the advice is NOT "sit in yer hoose, don't go out, don't talk to your neighbours". I go out in my own area, I speak to my neighbours following the correct social distancing rules. She hasn't done this, and given her role, it deserves to be flagged.

Not one for wanting to see people loosing their jobs, but id be surprised if shes still in this by the end of this week.

    what a clown.

its a serious case of hypocrisy as well as a breach of her job ethics.

“do as I say , not as I do.”

You have an interesting approach to the seriousness of the measures being taken yet not too fussed about someone in authority selfishly flouting them.

I agree about the air traffic - we don’t know what’s on the carrier flights, could be supplies and people being brought home from abroad ...

.. but the number of private jets and helicopters in the skies betrays the presence of the super rich whose daily lives are barely being impacted.
