Seen this on another forum and thought it'd be quite interesting.

First one for me; if you try and kill yourself and don't succeed you're attention seeking

    Anybody else?

i disagree with that, as i have worked with people who have tried to end their lives on more than one occasion but were definitley not attention seeking.

I'd say they were looking for help, thinking that death was the only way out

    sad really :54:

attention seeking id say is different just ppo looking for any way to get fame

seeking help is a different matter like they dont have anyone to talk to or help (troubled)

worse thing in life to me is someone who kills for the thrill terrorism and peadoism and rape these are thing that hurt other ppo the druggie and suicide thing doesnt affect anyone physically apart from themselves to be honest but does affect famillies around them mentally

Fairplay mate but I think well if you really wanted to do it it's not exactly hard to get yourself killed is it?

A couple of posts up the once a druggie one I agree with; the addiction will never leave

then you would have to say once a smoker always a smoker

once a drinker always a drinker

and so on because these are addictions

i know what you mean, but I have witnessed people who were just lucky to have survived (unlucky in their eyes at the time tho)

also my twin brother tried to kill himself, he was serious about it, took a * load of sleeping tablets, + was lucky my brother and I noticed on time.

As for the drug addiction thing, i think that anyone with an addiction who over comes it deserves praise and not everyone who is addicted to something stays addicted forever, I suppose it depends on what they were addicted too.

me + my bro r not very close (more to do with him being a guy i think lo)l, but at the time that happened he'd just split with his GF and we got really close, i was heart broken, couldnt sleep at all during the time he was in hospital, as soon as he got out, things went back to normal and the arguements started again :50:

My uncle is in a member of the AA and that's what he says to me he'll always be a drunk because the addcition is always there. Even though he hasn't touched a drop of alcohol in years.

a guy who stays in my street was a hardcore alcoholic for years, hes not had a drink in about 12 years and prob wont for the rest of his life , so i dont agree with the 'once and addict always an addict' thats just like saying people who smoke then stop will always be addicted, thats just not the case

That's the jist I took from it anyway.

Anybody else got anything? Can have some quite good debates on peoples opinions on life that's not generally accepted
