    Aye.

    Same goes for Naka.

I'd have liked to have seen him in a 4-2-3-1 or 4-3-1-2 as the number 10. Juninho under O'Neill, too. Just didn't fit the system.

In saying that, Naka was obviously a terrific servant still. I do think we'd have gotten even more out of him though in a central area.

I can't see how massive corporations, paying out thousands to pay people to find loopholes in tax laws and such like are being compared to someone doing a bit of hair and make up or borrowing a skip. Ridiculous.

    I know.

Saying that, I don't even condemn Vodafone and the like. Fair * to them, they're actually doing it legally, as far as I'm aware it's illegal not to do best by your shareholders. Paying more when you don't need to wouldn't comply.

I blame the * that make the laws there, not the companies taking advantge of it.

Spot on. Corporate tax avoidance is a big problem but that isnt the fault of companies who take advantage of * poor tax legislation. I would do the exact same. The problem lies with incompetent politicians and law makers who are quick to openly condemn companies to score political points, but do nothing about actually changing the rules.

You never said it was a 'one off', very surprised she would have been done by HMRC for a one off.

My mistake I read it as a one off. We have been talking about the same thing then.

While I may feel a bit sorry for the young lass, as its only a 'score' (that time) what about the builder who could be getting away with tens of thousands regularly and not paying his fair share, is that fair.
Now yes you/we can point to 'corporate tax avoidance', as its correctly called and as I alluded to under the 'don't moan about starbucks etc, but that's a different form of avoidance and that is also being cracked down on as well. Main thing is people cant defend one and not the other imo.

Not sure if the grudge statement is aimed at me but that's got hewhaw to do with it, as I have said, if I was to be aware of it and do * all its me who would face a fine/prison sentence and loss of my license. So the whole 'grass' thing is just pointless noise to me, school was a long time ago mate.

There's a major difference for me there, tens of thousands rather than some wee busybody trying to grass people in who are doing a couple of wee jobs on the said, getting a £100/£200, most of the time not even that, just to be able to live really and * shipping them in.

That's what I've been talking about the full way through here. That's what I disagree with.

    * that are running full fledged businesses doing it? They get what's coming to them. Wee bit extra cash in hand though? Nah, don't need to declare that for me.

I vowed I was gonna drop this as well :giggle1:

The amount is immaterial however its the principle.
As for your example of what's only a wee bit extra, well in this case if we agree on £100/200 as being a small amount (ok?) So, I have a different view on what a small amount is and its more than that, so right away we have 2 people who think different amounts being undeclared is ok because its 'only a small amount'. And this is not even asking if you mean £100/200 a week/month etc.

Anyway we are obviously not gonna agree, so lets disagree to agree :86:
