Rogic is 30 this year and scott is only 20 in June. See nothing wrong with building for the future, I do agree we need a lb however this doesn't mean we aren't going to be looking for one.

Think about that mate. A top European wonder kid is available and we’re going to patch him because at this precise moment we have cover for that position?

Also the fact we need a player for another position should never affect how we acquire players. That’s the type of false thinking we seen during the summer. We can and should sign players in parallel instead of one at a time.

Reckon the argument to be made is, how much game time is the kid going to get?
Surely, straight off the bat, rogic and O'Reily are ahead of him for that position?(although O'Reily can play further back, that position is already taken also by hatate or Turnbull).

Is it wise to flood the position when other areas are needed? I doubt O'Reily or rogic are about to willingly take a back seat.

If he's good enough he'll get minutes regardless of age. Rogic will naturally start to play less and less over the next few years anyways due to age. Going by reports of his quality atm he sounds like he'll be more than good enough to go out on loan to either another premiership team or english championship.

Considering it's a free and likely not to be a lot of wages I think it's a no brainer. I don't think signing him would stop us improving other positions.

Oh, we all know that. Let’s be clear here: this is not a disagreement on what should happen; it’s more of a prediction of what this board would actually do. Based on their track record, I’d have zero expectations for them to splash on a LB when they’ve spent money getting a relatively big young name in with sell-on value.

It shouldn’t be either or, but too often with our money men in the past, it has been. Nicholson may do things differently, but let’s wait and see. For now, number 1 priority is LB for me.

I’ll wait til they look like signing one before I can get too excited about things like this.

Was at the game today apparently.

Anyone else seeing this on social media?

No pictures just * claiming he was there so take it with a pinch of salt.

Anyway, whether we get this guy or not, it's good that we're still looking at midfielders.

We need more strength and quality in there.

Abada came from nowhere at pretty much the same age. If theres anything in this then I'm all for it.
114 games 44 goals 17 assist overall, how good the leagues are I'm sure better than the lowland league.

Wouldn't it be clubs and agents we'd be speaking to? Pedantic maybe, but true...

EXCLUSIVE: Celtic closing in on signing German-born Ghanaian Christopher Scott
    Published on: 04 June 2022

Scottish champions Celtic are close to signing German-born Ghanaian Christopher Scott in the summer transfer window, GHANASoccernet.com can exclusively report.

The 19-year-old, who turns 20 in three days time, could leave Bayern Munich for the Parkhead outfit if they meet the German giant's asking price of £250,000.

The teen sensation is also on the radar of Austrian club SK Austria Klagenfurt but Celtic remain favourites to sign the youngster.

Scott was born to Ghanaian parents in Cologne, Germany and started his career at Bayer Leverkusen before moving to the Bundesliga giants.

However, he has made only two senior appearances, which came at the end of last season.

He is yet to feature for Julian Naglessman's side but has been a key member of the youth team this season in the Regionalliga.

Christopher Scott has scored six goals and provided six assists in 15 games in the fourth division in Germany.

The teen sensation's contract expires in June allowing him to leave on a free transfer.
