    From the other week

No point rushing him when he could potentially end up injured again

Christopher Jullien's long-awaited Celtic injury comeback has been put on hold.

The £7million French stopper hasn't kicked a ball since colliding his knee with a post against Dundee United last December.

Jullien, 28, returned to full training last month and was expected to be available for selection in November.

However, boss Postecoglou has called for patience over the defender's return to action.

The Aussie said: “We still need to do some work with Chris. I know people are anxious but we are not quite there.

“This was sort of seen as a likely return date but we have just got to be careful.

“I want him back but I want him back for good. I don’t want him suffering a setback.

    * love Ange man, if this was last season he’d have been playing last month and would probably be out again.

It's annoying, frustrating, in the sense we have went so long without him and at points had been looking at September/October as possible timescales. Now it all seems like we won't see him before the January break.

Which i totally get and to be honest would prefer he is managed to return and not have a setback.

Starfelt and CCV have made a decent partnership at the back, Welsh is developing well.
We have 4 viable and adequate options now (once Julien returns) and it's refreshing to have this now.
So rather take our time while the other 3 are able to play well (Starfelt due back soon) and bring Julien back in to the fold appropriately.

I agree with others, it's up to him to win his place back, he doesn't automatically to back in there (with ccv you'd assume), so good competition is brilliant to have.

Don’t think there’s even a semblance of an argument about heavily missing him when you look at how poor we’ve been defending crosses and set pieces and also scoring for them. Will be good to have him back.

The only song I've ever done on Karaoke.

17 year old lad out with a few work pals that wanted to embarrass me. Soon found out I had nae shame :smoke:

Julienn is getting better the longer he is out... In all seriousness though he is someone we could with back in the side. As weak as a skin of custard at times but is easily the most comfortable on the ground and can chip in with goals. Starfelt isn't good enough and looks like a deer in the headlights too often. Welsh has a bit more steel about him but lacks experience.

Soutar would be a decent and value option in January till (if) Christophe recovers.
