    I tell you what, if we could sign Chris Sutton (or at least a Sutton type player) we'd be some team. The guy was something else and massively under rated.

    to believe that he was underrated is a bit of a slite on the rest of us supporters, we all knew how good he was and we all were grateful for hims staying at the club

    I don't know anyone who underrated Sutton. He was immense when he played and that Juve game, among a few others, sums him up. Privileged to have seen him play for the hoops :shamrock:

    A honestly don't know anyone that underrates him. i've even got die hard zombie friends who all hate him. And it's not just because he played for Celtic but because he was an excellent footballer and a constant thorn in there side.

    Would be great if we got someone with half his ability:50:

    Sorry people, I meant outside of Celtic mainly. I know the reasons why he didn't get picked to England but in all honesty, the reason that situation occurred was because he was being under rated by the England boss.

    Thought he was a great player and would love another strong, physical goal scorer like Sutton to replace Hooper. While I think Hooper was great, he didn't have the heading ability and ability to hold the ball up like Sutton did and we could really use that right now!

    Sutton was a great player for us, but at a fee of £6m, you have to wonder when the next time we will spend that type of money on one striker will be.

    In my opinion he is the second best player i have seen at Celtic after Larsson.

    Could argue about it being Lubo but what Sutton offered the team and how veristile he was made him an unbelievable player for us. If only we had another.

    Dont think sutton was underated.played in the best celtic team of my lifetime so far.hartson,sutton,maloney,lennon,petrov,larsson,mcnamara,mjallby,lambert,thompson,balde,agathe,all playing in the same side.

    Was a great time being a celtic fan.

    I liked the fact he was English that made a lot of Rangers fans angry that we were signing good English players like Sutton and Thompson. I always got the feeling that Sutton disliked Rangers a lot I liked him for that.
