Cho Gue-sung

Both highlight reels side by side show a full picture. Keep in mind he's only really played a handful of seasons professionally, bit like some of the Japanese boys we've signed.

I really like the look of him. Great in the air and a good target man but can play with the ball at his feet too. Some cracking finishes but good hold up and link up play in the first vid as well. Looks like he has a lot of composure and close control looks a step up on Giako.

Young, plenty of room for improvement, career on the up. I'm all for it.

 

As much as we'd like a third option I think it probably does play out he's GG's replacement, if we are actually in for him. It's difficult enough keeping 2 strikers happy when you only play 1 up top, a 3rd of any decent quality would be hard to lure, unless Ange was going to start giving Kyogo minutes in the attacking midfield roles, but as things stand I think he probably sees Maeda as our 3rd choice backup striker. Or possibly Vata making a step up over the next year to fill that role?

Celtic fans, if you think Giakoumakis is rough and tumble then the man who could replace him is more a physical presence at the top end of the pitch.

Seen thay earlier, judging off that he's an upgrade on GG and he's younger with more potential. Dortmund are also interested apparently so he must be half decent

Would imminently become our number 1 striker. I love GG but they stats by the rags are mental. Given the fact he hasn’t played for a team like ours. We dominate the ball far more than any South Korean team, we create more chances and score more goals than any South Korean team. Really hope this works out. I love big GG but if someone was to come in with a bid of £7m? I’d sell and buy this lad. Looks a baller.

 

Aye he's a different kinda option from Jackie..

Looks like he'd be better outside the box. One thing Jackie's lacks is his touch and link up play can be awful....but he's such a menace and occupies a whole defence at times....plus is a big game player. Scored so many crucial goals and first time at that..

This guy looks quicker and a bit more rounded with a lot of potential. His stats are good there..

 

This "story" is just someone believing the "Giakoumakis is leaving story" at face value, then connecting some quotes from Ange about Koreans to that, after a big striker has impressed for South Korea. This guy will go to Europe, but will it be to us? As a fan of the South Korean NT, I want him to play regularly at club level.

I'd hate him to have 2 guys in front of him in pecking order.

I wish we played a 2 striker formation. Then we could keep GG and bring this not so wee gem.

 

He looks a big upgrade on Giako, who I love. Will be * brilliant if there's any truth in this.
