Charlie Nicholas

Is it just me or does anyone else cringe everytime they see this guy on Sky whenever he is asked about Scottish football or players. He constantly talks or game down. I am just after hearing him on SkySports saying Petrov will find every week a challenge in the EP as opposed to being able to go up to say Aberdeen and cuff them 0-5 or Motherwell 4-0 and that his only challenge each year was the champions league. Ok so maybe this IS the case but still ....could someone please phone Champagne Charlie and tell him his job as a pundit on Sky is secure, he doesnt need to cow-tow to his paymasters in England whenever he;s asked about A Scottish team or player.

Yea I seen that too. The SPL is more competitive than the EPL. In England is just Chelsea in Scotland its always going to be between Celtic and Rangers.

I f@cking hate Nicholas, I thought he was a w@nker even when he played for Celtic. He's a pervy old codger and he talks a load of sh1te.
Totally understand how you feel, just his voice makes me cringe these days.

I have never seen anyone so eager to please thier paymaster as Charlie Nick.....The word around the SkySports news desk office is that when Charlie first arrived there he was that eager to please, he had to have his jaws wired shut to stop him from giving blow jobs by way of a hello!

Charlie Nic is pretty much regarded as a joke fugure north of the border these day's....gave up listening to his tripe a long time ago.

by the way, just a quick question. has anyone got setanta? i dont, so i'm just seeing if its better, and if its better than sky sports?

 

I know him personally and he is great in real life but he tries to justify his presence by over exagarating when on the Sky.

 

I have Setanta and I strongly recommend it. Almost every Celtic away game is shown plus you get Celtic TV with it. This season you get French, German, Italian and Dutch football too.

 

i'm not scottish so i might be missing something when it comes to hansen, so here goes.

i think hansen is fine, when BBC first showed the old firm he was fantastic, my mate and i were shocked how much praise he gave the two clubs.

when the likes of nicholas comes out with crap like that it really annoys me. why can't he just say that the premiership is a better standard than putting the game north down, he knows fine rightly celtic don't go to wawy grounds and get it easy.

 

I recommend Setanta also, it has came on leaps and bounds since it first arrived. I got it from day one and the quality has improved greatly since then as has it's program output.

 

aye nicholas is a walloper ,, first class one at that ,, always puts celtic down at every chance and bigs up arsenal .... even when chic charnley was on ctv huddle .. he said it aswell about nicholas ... the guys a bawbag.

 

nicholas made an * of his career by going to Arsenal and always talks them up to make themself look better and talks down celtics quality on the pitch but tbh always has good things to say about the fans

 

Charlie Nicholas is an * if you ask me. He was my hero when I was a kid, broke my heart when he left.
