Even the most ardent Celtic fan will concede that catching Rangers at this point is unlikely. They are in great form and do not look like dropping enough points for us to catch them. Ever since our October washout, it has been an uphill struggle and one that looks deemed to fail.

Still only 28, the striker is out of contract in the summer and could be grabbed for nothing. The forward averages a goal every 3 games and is a physical player that could add some steel to the Celtic frontline.

It is clear that Celtic need to go in a new direction for next season with fresh new blood eager to prove themselves at a top club. Defence, midfield, and attack need sorting with both outgoings and incomings.
