Yes, I'm pretty sure

 

Yes in both rounds.

As you see the play-off round(which is the final round) is 5 Seeded teams V 5 Non Seeded teams and like I said above that is all teams in order of rankings(except Basel are the top ranked and Cluj are below Dinamo Zagreb but Cluj would already enter Round 3) and we are in the top 5 meaning we will avoid the other 4 highest ranked teams in every round(1.Basel, 2.Anderlecht, 3.Celtic, 4.BATE and 5.Salzburg are the 5 best teams at the moment so we cant play any of them.

 

If All the seeded teams were to progress in Every Round, the final round would be:

Cheers lads. Well thats not bad then, gives us a better chance of getting to the group stages. Looking at the teams there we really should be qualifying imo.

Think it will be a real tough deal to qualify. We don't seem to do well in knockout-rounds in Europe. Braga, Utrecht, Sion.

I always use Football Manager as a realistic forecast.

In season 1 with Celtic, I won the SPL and qualified for the UCL 3rd qualifying round.

I drew FC Sheriff from Moldova and won 4-0 on agg.

In the next round I drew APOEL Nicosia. I beat them too to get to the group stages.

Hopefully thats's an omen. I just long for the Champions League nights back at Parkhead.

 

It's been way too long a wait since Champions League football has been at Paradise.

 

What about the 3rd and 4th teams from Germany, Italy, Spain, France and England?

Not 100% about what places are eligible from said leagues - a bit of speculation.

It'll be some achievement if we can get to the group stages.

 

They dont matter to us as we cant play them. As it stands the now the above teams are the only teams in our section. Although the teams with stars**** next to them havent yet qualified so for example Salzburg of Austria could yet miss out if Rapid Vienna etc were to win that League and take their place but Salzburg are currently top.

 

These qualifiers always seem to come too early for us.hopefully we will have a fully fit squad raring to go

 

That is alright. My outlook for scraping through to the group stages has just increased.

I was kind of expecting us to end up having to go through an Arsenal or Valencia to get to the group stages - classic, 'luck'-of-the-draw.:icon_mrgreen:

Tough but there's a good £10m riding on this let's hope Lenny and the Bhoys do us proud. We belong in the CL.

Running before I can walk, how would our seeding be if we were to reach the groups?

 

We'll be in the Champions side of the draw so can't face the likes of Arsenal or Valencia. We'll be paired with the winners of a league with a similar coefficient to the SPL.

 

it has. listening to the music from the milan v barca game got me wishing we had it back.

 

Also, in the play-off round, would we be facing the champions group winners, like Basel/ Anderlect?

 

No Basel are the highest ranked team, Anderlecht are 2nd and we're 3rd so with us 3 being the top seeds then we cant play each other, neither could the next 2 highest seeded teams BATE and Salzburg.
