Just checking there to see for next season. We will have 3 Rounds of Qualifying again.

    41.4 Viktoria Plzen
    39.5 Copenhagen
    36.7 Steaua Bucharest
    33.7 Celtic
    33.5 Salzburg
    32.0 Apoel Nicosia
    30.5 BATE Borisov

To be sure of being seeded, we either need to place 5th or above among these 7 teams in the coefficient table by the end of the season or hope 1 of them don't win their League or if we gain a further 8 coeffiecient points we'll definetly come above Plzen who arent in Europe the now so cant add points. It's the tightest we've been for being seeded as this season and the last two seasons we were clearly ahead of other teams, now 3 teams are less than 3.2 points of overtaking us.

Worst thing is too we are all except Plzen guarenteed Group Stage football as all 6 of us are still in the CL Qualifiers the now and will either be in the CL or EL group stages so good chances of adding points.

So we really want to keep an eye on those other 6 teams this season and hope they get pumped out Europe ASAP or dont win their Leagues.

Next season the CL money we get will go up too as the UK has a new contract starting which is worth a lot more than the current, if we reach the Group Stages next season we'll get 8% of the UK TV Pot which is going to be over double what it is now, so we'd get over double the TV Money we get now which is about £6.5million, so next season if we reached the Group Stages we'd be guarenteed atleast £29million before we kick a ball just in TV, Ticket sales, sponsorship bonuses and UEFA bonuses. Then we'd get extra money for any draws or wins. So next season's money is basically better than it would be to reach the Last 16 this season yet all we'd need to do is turn up and get pumped in every game compared to this season we'd have to earn about 3 wins and qualify through just to get close to that money. :56:

Haven't had a proper look but at first glance you are missing out on Denmark and possibility that Copenhagen will win their league and go through the Champions Path - they currently have a higher coefficient than us so may well do come the end of the season.

Your looking at team coefficients but I'm sure that for qualification it is the leagues coefficient meaning it doesn't matter if these teams don't win the league because the team that does win the league will take their place ahead of us in the rounds anyway yes we will be seeded and they will not but they probably have a round or 2 less of qualifying

They'll enter a round or two ahead of us but we can still draw them in the 3rd qualifying round or the play-off round if we finish below 5 of them on club coefficient points.

Aye I agree any posts about co- efficients , seedlings etc for season 2015/2016 is at this stage a bit of pompous nonsense . Millerntor don't we have enough on our plates worrying about this year's qualifications .

We will consistently enter the Second Qualifying Round for years to come as it is the overall co-efficient ranking of Scotland that keeps us down the pecking order regardless of our own co-efficiency.

We could be on over 100.000 points alongside the likes of Real Madrid and Bayern Munich and be a Pot 1 team but because of our league, we would still have to enter the same qualifying stage over and over.

This is why we so desperately need other Scottish teams in European Group Stages alongside ourselves.

If we win a couple of games and drop down into 3rd spot of the CL group to then win a few games in the Europa knock-outs, we could find ourselves racking up about 12-16.000 co-efficient points which would definitely keep us as a seeded team in qualifying.

We get 4 points automatically from just being in the CL Group Stages.
    2 points for a win.
    1 point for a draw.
4 points if we get to the Last 16 CL.
0 if we drop into the Europa League.

But as it would be the EL Last 32 we enter at, we could win both of those games to collect 4 co-efficient points which would be the same as getting to the CL Last 16.

Entering the EL Last 16 would provide us with greater opportunity to progress further and collect more points and hopefully glory.

    Getting tight now

    41.425 Viktoria Plzen
    39.600 Copenhagen
    36.859 Steaua Bucharest
    34.300 APOEL Nicosia
    33.730 Celtic
    33.560 Salzburg
    32.850 BATE Borisov

Mind we need to rank 5th out these teams to be definitely sure of being seeded all through the qualifiers next season.

So Hopefully APOEL and BATE get stuck in a Group with 3 teams they wont even get a point off. Otherwise if we end up outside the Top 5 we'll be hoping that one or more of them don't win their Leagues.

The only good thing now we're in the Europa is you get 2 points a win and 1 point a draw in it which is the same as the CL.

Thats how a couple of them overtook us. You get 4 points for getting into the CL Group Stage and only 2 for getting into the EL Group Stage.

So BATE and APOEL have both earned 2 points more than us so far this season.

If APOEL and BATE finish 4th in their CL Group then we only need to get 1 point more than they get in our Group.

So if they both come bottom with 4 points we only need to get 5 points to ensure seeding next season.

The CL are true bonus points, you get those 4 points no matter what. The 2 for EL are not bonus points, they are points that are given to ensure that any team which pick up 0 or 1 points are punted up to 2 ie every team in the EL group stage will end up with at least 2 points.

So if you win 2 games and draw 1 in either group stage, your points total would be:

CL - 5 for the win and draw + 4 bonus points = 9 points

EL - 5 for the win and draw and no bonus points = 5 points
