UEFA Champions League 2nd Qualifying Round,
Kairat Almaty (KAZ) or Artmedia (SVK) v Celtic

Gordon Strachan's Celtic face a difficult trip to either Kasakhstan or Slovakia in the Champions League second qualifying round after the club was drawn against the winner of the Kairat Almaty v Artmedia Bratislava first round tie.

The prospect of an eight-hour flight to Kasakhstan - albeit against a side with the lowest coefficient in the draw - will be particularly unappealing to the new Hoops boss, who would doubtless have been hoping for a tie closer to home against the likes of Glentoran, Shelbourne or Total Network Solutions, who have instead been paired with Liverpool.

Instead, Strachan and his players face a journey into the unknown before returning to Celtic Park for the second leg - hopefully to finish a job that nonetheless looks likely to be anything but routine.

The ties will be played on July 26/27 and August 2/3.

Kasakhstan thats were your man borac from the ali g show was from, should be a piece of *.

    3. Come on Dubs, honestly, I hate that attitude before matches. No offence but, big headed attitude. This team could be alot better than we think they are. Like greenirishbhoy said, you don't know how good they are, doesn't mean they're definitely gonna be brilliant, we could struggle, but I hate that attitude so much. Look at Basel, everyone thought that would be a piece of *, it really wasn't. Villarreal caused a little shock on us.

Come on guys, these games will be straight forward and good match practice before the start of the SPL season and Third Round Qualifiers for the Champions League. Kairat Almaty and Artmedia are no Villareal as they don't have players like Riquelme.

Trust me after last season i'm going into this season with more caution than anything but if we don't beat these teams i'll eat my fingers.

Big headed ??????? there * part-time teams the thought of them beating us is uncomprehendable it's nothing to do with been big headed, away and play with your lego.

Last season, Dinamo Bucharest played a team from Slovenia in the Ch. league 3rd round. The Slovenian team had good chances throughoot the two legs but overall they were *. Dinamo won 1-0 1-0. The thing is Dinamo was in terrible shape, their form from the previous season was completely gone. The played horrible, yet they won so I think Celtic should win confortably with whomever they play.

      * not the best countries to go to but i would rather go to Slovakia than Kasakhstan
because any countries that sound like Afghanistan make me paranoid for some reason
