    Thought Thiago was class in the midfield as well, so good on the ball. Went after Keher most of the night and to be fair to the boy, he was left hung out to dry by Di Maria. Had a lot to deal with and got worse in the 2nd half when Lewandowski started to drop left and join in the play. On the Bayern goal, he was outnumbered at the back post.

    Bayern by far a better "team" than PSG, who have improved under Tuchel in that area. Brave plan by Bayern to squeeze the game high, when you have the pace and quality of Neymar and Mbappe. Big Risk, but also big reward. Big help when you have a goalie like Neuer behind you. It allowed them to stop/prevent any play or easy passes going from midfield to forwards. And also allowed Bayern to get bodies further forward, 4 and 5 at time up against the PSG defence.

    These ties over one leg are very interesting and are springing up a few surprise results. Red Star dumped out of the Champions’ League tonight by some Cypriot mob I’d never heard of on penalties (not suggesting they are garbage, but I would’ve presumed that Red Star would’ve taken care of them).
