Celtic will be looking for a quickly bounce back this weekend, after the European adventures came to an end for another season following the defeat at the hands of Real Madrid on Wednesday, with attention now turned full time to domestic matters, and the visit of Dundee United to Parkhead tomorrow.

After successfully navigating two potential banana skins away at Tynecastle and Almondvale, the Hoops return home eager to continue stamping their authority on the Premiership ahead of the World Cup break.

There are just three League matches between now and then, and the Hoops' faithful will be keen to see the Bhoys pick up maximum points over the next 8 days and preserve - if not further extend - the current 4 point lead at the top of the table.

The last time Celtic played at home in the League was when they demolished Hibernian by the tune of 6-1, and Ange Postecoglou will be looking to have his team put on a similiar performance this weekend also.

Jota has returned from injury bagging goals in back to back games against Livingston & Real Madrid

The last time these sides met the Bhoys inflicted a 9-0 defeat of the Tayside club - the heaviest defeat in United's history at Tannadice. It signalled the end of the line for Jack Ross, with Liam Fox subsequently taking over as the Tangerines' boss.

Since then United have managed to pick up a few much needed wins, with comprehensive displays over Hibs and Aberdeen as well as a share of the spoils away to Ross County seemed to signal hope for better things to come. However, the Terrors' revival stalled recently, with defeats at the hands of St Mirren and Motherwell, which has left them sitting at the bottom of the table, ahead of only the Highlanders.

    Stats & Facts

    • Celtic have been undefeated in this fixture at Parkhead since December 1992.
    • Since the last time these sides met in August, both teams have conceded 8 goals in 8 League games, with United actually having recorded more clean sheets since then.
    • Dundee Utd are yet to record an 'Away' win this season in the League.
    • A big part of that is the Taysiders have not scored a first half goal away from Tannadice since the opening day of the season - with just 4 'away' goals in total.

    Team News

There could be a return to the starting lineup for Jota, who has scored from off of the bench in each of the past two games. Elsewhere, the manager has also said that Cameron Carter-Vickers 'should be right' for tomorrow's game.

However, the Bhoys will continue without skipper Callum McGregor (knee).

As for Liam Fox's visitors, Tony Watt has avoided suspension after his red card from last weekend was downgraded, while Dylan Levitt, who recently returned to action after a knee problem, is to be assessed ahead of tomorrow's game before a determination is made on his availability.

    Referee: David Dickinson

Overall, since making his debut last season, Dickinson has taken charge of 16 Premiership games and tomorrow will be just his second involving Celtic - the first being the 5-0 win over Kilmarnock, back in August.
