I was watching Setanta news earlier and they were talking about how rangers tough journey to the end was so hard because of there long fixture list and then a tim phoned in and said that we played 3 games on the same day in 1966 to win the league. 2 at home and 1 away. :celt_2:

Just seeing what your opinion is :shamrock:

There is some truth in this, although I think it was 2 games on the same day.

The Celtic Song so long as Dean Park doesn't sing it.
Remember it well, April the 1st 1966 and Bobby Lennox had his boots untied.

We did play 2 games in one day in the late 1890's/1900's.It certainly wasnt 1966.

the poor little lambs. i wish i was getting paid thousands a week for the hardship of playing four games in a week.

Definately not three games in one day and not in 1966.

As some have said it was 2 games and was in the early 1900's/1910's. I'm pretty sure it was Raith Rovers at home then Motherwell away or the other way around and we won both games by 5 or 6 goals.

We played two games in one day on April 15th 1916. We defeated Raith 6-0 at home before travelling to Motherwell where we won 3-1.

And before any smar@rse suggests it... No, I wasn't alive then!
