As others mentioned, that £28M or so from Kyogo and Kuhn must be spent on direct replacements.

Nygren and Maeda are the replacements. Not saying I agree with it mind... When Jota is back our front three will be Jota Maeda nygren...

Sadly, you may be right.

We need to aim higher than Maeda at #9, he had a purple patch as much as Kuhn has had for a few months then went back to normal. I'd be very surprised if he repeated it on consistent basis given his clear technical shortcomings.
I'd honestly sell Maeda if £20M.came in for him and now would be perfect time, hes at his peak value.

Nygren, let's see - I can see him in the Rogic role rather than wide, rotating with Hattate?
I'd still love to get the Norwegian lad in if he's anywhere south of £10M.

If we don't think we need on a top drawer striker and winger then surely we then have a huge budget for #6 and maybe even a new #5.

Think we should spend big on decent scouts. When we spent big (for us) on Idah and Engels it’s not immediately looked like money well spent. Thing with 3 or 4 punts is one will likely work out but the others just bloat the squad and don’t move.

 

Aye, with Kuhn gone I hope we start seeing some RW links soon. Plenty of LW links so far.

I agree with this bar I think we will sign a winger to cover jota rather than it be a loan. I hope that player can give RW too and has some potential development upside.

Not emabarrasing for me more the problem has been idah under no scenario become number 1 striker this window and he's a 9 mill outlay. Jota and maeda when fit both start, we aren't signing a first choice striker for idah to come a 9mill third choice so the club will sign the likes of Osmond or possibly the Japanese lad and hope they are massive bang for their buck..

2nd of July and there's certain people panicking and making up doomsday scenarios

I get it, we're not the most efficient club when it comes to transfer windows, far from it actually, but it's genuinely been a very positive start for once, both with signings and links.

I'd it's the same come the start of August, I'll happily join in, but we're still early in.
