Scotland u21s came 4th in the Den Hagg youth tournament over the weekend, 100% of their goals were scored by Hoops.
Tony Watt, John Herron and Calum Mcgregor.

In case you didn't also know, Celtic u19s won both the league and cup for the third year in a row last season - a treble double. No-one is anywhere near us.

The future is green and white :50:

One of the best in Britain. There is probably only 2 or 3 youth squads who are better than ours

:50: This. Very few clubs in Britain boost a better youth system than ours which is massive credit too the people who run our club.

I'd say we are the best in Britain. Last year our u19s beat a highly rated Liverpool side containing Raheem stirling and this year we easily beat Man City twice. Also our u15's just won a tournament against all the top academies in Britain.

It's all boding very well for the future. It's a very exciting time to be a Celtic supporter and there's no doubt quite a few of these lads will made it through.

Well done to everyone that has put the work in to make our youth so promising.

It's looking pretty good, let's hope a lot of these guys can fulfill their potential and make the grade at senior level.

John Kennedy, David Marshall had a lot of potential too.

We need to somehow get more to make that step up as we've invested far too much in our youth system.
Think a few lads need to hit the gym and bulk up a bit. No doubting most's skills, but strength is something we seem to lack.

we are only just now starting to see the fruits of our investment into our youth academy. Academies take time to develop but ours is now ready to start churning out great players. Forrest is the first product of our revamped academy and we will see more like him in the coming years. We've never had as many youth internationals as we do currently and barring injury I think McGeouch, Watt, Twarzdik, George(if he can recover from his leg break), Kidd, McMullen, Fraser, and Chalmers will all end up being first team regulars. The classes below them are even more promising.

That's the thing i'm most pleased about. 10 year olds now in the academy and on their school pitches are seeing the example of Barcelona's academy in Europe, and people like James Forrest closer to home, which bodes very well for our long term as well as medium term future.

Kids now know the right way to play, they will be taught the Celtic Way from a young age and also have passion and optimism to actually carry on working hard and not just give up and start playing FIFA.

Got to be the future for the club. The better they become the more attractive they will be to up and coming talent. Secret will be keeping the really good ones for any length of time.

    Exciting times indeed.

I agree. We seem to have more of a chance of these younger players getting into the first team now than even just 5 years ago.
And let's face it....We need to do this instead of going out and buying big. Just can't attract or afford it. Casting our wide scouting net we will find and develop our gems.
But it's the stepping up to the first team that's our biggest problem. Suppose Lenny is better at having the 18 y/o's around the first team and helping develop them.

Best in Scotland - big wow wouldnt be hard. Scottish fitba is at an all time low at the moment. I would be surprised if 1 of them makes it.

For every Shaun Maloney there is a dozen Jamie Smiths

there is always one eternal optimist huh? you'd be surprised if 1 of them made it? you know next to nothing about football in that case. our youth teams are filled to to bursting with bright, promising talent, who nurtured correctly, will most definitely make it.

everybody knows we're the best in scotland. the OP said further proof imo due to the comment by lafferty that rangers had the best youth in scotland.
