Get yer money on 2-0. Don't think it's going to be one of those special days when we wipe the floor with them. Just a comfy, convincing 2-0 win. Leigh Leigh Super Leigh to get one of the goals.

Having a think earlier about what this game means to both sets of supporters nowadays since their administration and subsequent demise in 2012 and reached the following conclusion:

As far as Celtic supporters go, I feel as though a lot of us appreciate that although they are technically a different club from the one that we had been playing for over 100 years before, they are still followed by the same vile scumbags who revel in the notion of paedophilia and never miss the opportunity to talk about children being abused, which in itself is a very odd/disturbing habit and one probably worthy of psychiatric help or other medical attention. However, that's an entirely different thread.

Therefore, there will always be the same hate, tension and build up surrounding these games whenever they come around, regardless of them being a five year old entity.

For the scum, this fixture is now the be all and end all for them; the pinnacle of their season. They don't have European football and they haven't fared well in the cups in recent years.

I doubt these games have ever meant to more to any of them than they have since their promotion to the Premiership at the beginning of last season. Games against Celtic are now cup finals in their own right for the mutants. They cling on desperately to the 'Old Firm' tag because, by associating themselves with us, it reminds them of how they once competed with us (albeit through cheating and spending outwith their means) and how they were once a 'big club' through association with Celtic.

I feel as though all of this is worth remembering whenever we play the new club. For me, it's the reasons why these games will always continue to be spectacles regardless of their original club's liquidation and why these occasions will always be guaranteed sell outs in both stadiums.

Today's game will be watched by millions around the world who ordinarily would take no interest in Scottish football.

New Rangers, absolutely. Same rivalry, definitely.

    In my opinion, of course.

Nutty will come and park the bus in the hope of hitting us on the break and nicking the draw/win

Defo, they'd be delighted with nicking a 0-0 or 1-1. Doubt they're setting out to win.

The thing is,we’ve been shown to suffer a bit when teams are pressing high against us and roughing us up a bit. If they park the bus we’ll just be patient at our own game and pick them off.

Obviously I have no doubt they’ll try and rough us up but that’s about all they’ll do.

I agree with you in regards to the high press. Thing is they lack the youth/ pace to do so. Old kranky, holt and Pena in midfield the only one who will be willing is holt.

Murty had 'success' last year when the beat is 1-1 with just sitting in and defending so chances are will do it again. If they press high up the park we'll have a field day. Thier defence aren't disciplined enough to retain shape and stop us

I hope we start fast and score a couple of early goals to set the tempo of the game. Have them on the back foot straight away. I don't want them to have even a single sniff at goal.

We haven't hit top gear enough this season yet. They are coming to our turf, our castle, our home thinking they can win, lets bring them back down to earth with a * almighty bang!!!! 5-0!!!! COYBIG!!!!
