I don't know mate, Mcgregor's been quite ineffectual this season compared to last, it could be exhaustion, loss of form or complacency. Brown's had a few games this season where you just know he needs rested - giving away penalties needlessly. I'm not saying drop either of them for future games, but there's no reason why Bitton, Rogic, Ntcham etc.. can't step in for a shift against St Mirren and get the job done. It's healthy to have competition in every position.

 

As much as it would great to rest some players, the league is far too tight at the moment.

Lenny is damned if he does and damned if he doesn't. Rest players and drop points and plenty will have a go, same if we drop points going with our current strongest 11.

What I would like is quicker subs when we are cruising, like the sheep game the other day.

Let's get 5 up after 30 minutes and change it up.

Brown's character suggests to me he's the type of guy who would say he's fine playing a game every day of the week even if there are niggling injuries.

Realistically though, it must be exhausting psychologically being captain as well as playing CM at the age of 34. Makes sense to rest him in these sort of games.

We should be resting a few here. Lennon did this first time around in his tenure and it was annoying then. Mix it up a bit for these games..
