Agree, but as someone who has frequently watched afolabi , as good as he is i dont think he's ready. Certainly off bench after an hour if we are ahead

Squad needs utilised far better no reason why mcgregor or brown can't get a rest in these games.

For those who are in love.....
Elhamed has had a hairline fracture and bug recently..

Ntcham is just back and will come on tonight..

Afolabi I was told on here yesterday is just coming back from injury..

Sinclair is an obvious one who's gone..

Shved is the only one really where most of us would like to see in for the likes of tonight. Bit disappointed he's no in the squad..

    Definitely agree.

Broony just played 3 games in a week. We’re at home to St Mirren, one of the easiest games we’ll have all season, give him a rest before the cup semi.

I know that shower are in fairness arent dropping to many points and I know Bauer probably deserves minutes . But I can't comprehend how not one from ajer jullien (elhamed) or brown McGregor (ntcham) or Christie Forrest can't get the night off ..

The least we should be expecting tonight is an increase in the GD as a minimum.

    * all this resting players and utilising the squad pish. Play the strongest eleven always. It's 90 mins of football ffs!! They're professional athletes. See if we were to 'freshen' it up more and drop points would that be ok? No * about. We can't afford to drop points.

It’s St Mirren at Celtic Park.

Our u17’s would give them a game.

By that logic frimpong would be still cleaning the lads boots.. not so much a rest but an opportunity to involve the squad. Just like edoaurd got minutes when dembele and Griffith's was ahead of him.

    That's short-term thinking.

The 'strongest' eleven is subjective for a start, but if players are playing 3 games in a week they'll tire, especially CM's and won't be as effective. The risk of injury to important players is greater than the risk of dropping points in this game.

Plus it's never good to be guaranteed a game like Broony and Mcgregor, complacency sets in if you know you're playing regardless. The whole squad should be good enough to beat St Mirren at home, there's not a huge risk of dropping points by resting a few players.

We should be able to field a third eleven and possibly win with our squad. We have a semi final at the weekend. If the result was in serious doubt do you think we would be talking about it, with all due respect to St Mirren. When would you do it because some do need a break.
