    Not a fan of the Europa being essentially formatted like a lesser CL. Would much rather go back to a straight knockout as it differentiates the two and makes for more exciting games due to every single one being a must win.

    Met the legend that is Alec @Lion1961. Good to put another face to a poster but is was a very quick chat as I'm choking and hungover already and making a beeline to the kerrydale. He was saying that the fascists are kicking off in Central Station and have a few knuckle draggers among them.

    Spent a summer with an Italian family in the early 1980s. Great, generous people. At that time, the son, Paolo, had only a few words of English..."Up the 'RA", "Brits Out" and "Up Celtic". He loved his football (AS Roma) and hated Lazio with a passion. I visited him (and his sister ) many times subsequently and still keep in touch with him every week. His English is fluent now but his message is reassuringly familiar.

    Pros and cons of both. The knock-out format is exciting but I like the group stage and it probably favours a team like us that is so solid at home but shites the bed away as over 2 legs it becomes a turkey shoot.

    As an example we would've been put out to Salzburg and Leipzig last season over 2 legs but yet went through over the 6 games.
