    Going to this.

Well I've already been to two CL qualifiers and the sheep game. Need to nail down my ubertimnotgloryhunter credentials. :smiley-laughing002:

He's not even making the bench for us just now is he?

I can't see wholesale changes in this one, Brendan will want the first trophy of the season to put a marker down.

Maybe he will make the bench.

I would like to see him feature more often. The problem with Commons is he usually takes a few games to get up to speed and I don't think we can offer him that just now.

Would love him to reach 100 goals this season.

    Similar team for me

    Gordon
    Gamboa Simunovic O'Connell Izaguirre
    Ajer McGregor
    Roberts Henderson Armstrong
    Christie

Would be good to see Ajer in midfield.

Need a fair bit of squad rotation as Kilmarnock at home is more important and of course we want players to be as fresh as possible for Man City which is good as that is a Saturday - Wednesday turnaround I believe.

    Gordon/Bailly

    Gamboa
    Sviatchenko
    Simunovic
    Izaguirre

    Armstrong
    Bitton
    Rogic

    Forrest
    Dembele
    Sinclair

Sub Griffiths on for Dembele, Mackay-Steven on for Sinclair and Henderson on for Rogic

Decent team though I'm not sure he'll rest that many. Would be great to see Miller getting a chance but I doubt he'll start a cup game. Maybe we'll see him as a sub brought on when we're comforably ahead in a game. He certainly deserves a go in the first team I think.

I can see Sinclair and Dembele starting this though, I think Brendan will be taking it quite seriously and not risking any upsets.

Is it five subs for this? Stupid * rule.

I've never understood why you can't fill your bench with as many subs as you want.

Aye, they will probably change that at some point to allow all your squad you want as subs. In Italy the last 2/3 years I think they allow you 11 subs.

Its probably the daftest rule in football that you are only allowed 7 subs especially nowadays when teams have 25 man first team squads.

According to Brendan the other day then Wednesday night or the weekend.

Hopefully Wednesday, good game to come back and bag a couple of goals to get him going again.

Probably not. I doubt we will be seeing Commons pulling on the hoops again.

Hopefully he is back for Wednesday. It would be nice to have Griffiths on the bench and maybe give him a run out in the second half.

The most important thing is that we're in the hat for the next round. Even facing a lower league side at home, I don't want too many changes.

Brendan alluded to that as well, and he seems to value the competition - which is great.

    Gordon/De Vries
    Gamboa Simunovic Sviatchenko Izaguirre
    Brown McGregor
    Forrest Rogic/Armstrong Sinclair
    Dembele/Griffiths

I wouldn't rest too many important players, but we need to try and keep our squad sharp.

I'd look to get Christie, Hendo, and Ciftci some game time. I'd also start Gordon, not just cause I think De Vries is trash, but to give him a night off of his rough start to life at Celtic. Let him refresh and hopefully find some form.
