Tidy up our defensive work tomorrow and we should have more than enough to deal with Aberdeen. Biggest problem is we are continually having to put together combinations. Losing Ajer was yet another boot to the baws in that regard. And we are seriously lacking pace if we go with Bitton and Duffy at the centre. Bitton is also off the back of a Covid diagnosis, so he probably will be dealing with the effects of that. Probably means Welsh will have to be utilised at some point.

Aberdeen will play long and have Cosgrove or the other * drop onto the fullbacks and look to play from knock downs. Look to get corners and free kicks near the area, which no doubt the ref will oblige. And I expect they will have spent a fair amount of time on the set-up in these situations all week. And counter with balls down the line, with Frimpong and Laxalt who usually press higher up the field. Looking to drag Duffy and the other centre half away from the middle, like last week.

As for our attack. We have a fair few options. Eddie if fit, would start for me. Then if needs be we have the option of Griffiths and Ajeti. Would like to see more shots from distance attempted. Mixes up our play and keeps Aberdeen guessing. Hopefully, McInnes will revert to his man for man marking all over the pitch again. He has rolled it out a few times in the previous semi finals and the Rogic Final. Which we should be able to exploit.

Big game. Having watched Hearts v Hibs tonight, I didn't see much in the way of ability or otherwise that should overly worry. Unless Willie Collum is in charge of the Final and handing out freebies(6 penalties in 3 games in the space of 6 days)

Anyway, more than capable of getting the job done. And the opportunity to get a trophy in the bag should be motivation and kick on with the rest of the season.
