Not a fan of the silent prostests. Especially with potentially a 90 min one on Sunday. Atmosphere is bad enough at home games without them. Team needs the support right now. Completely understand the protests, just need a better way of doing it.

Silent protest at a European game? The board will love that. No rebel songs = no UEFA fine :giggle1:

Better protest would be an all out reb fest, smoke bombs, flares, * uefa banners the lot. Club gets fined and hits at the heart of all they care about. Money.

At the minute any board room protests should be left away from the 90 minutes when the team plays, protest before or after the game

Hopefully hearts win then because we won't. Let's remove our home advantage well done.

We're trying to hurt the board not the team, silence isn't the answer as that has a detrimental effect on the pitch. I get the ironic approach but it's financially that causes the most effect on this board. Just don't spend money in the ground or the shop. That means no food, no bookies, no paradise windfall, no official merch. Stop giving them coin it's the only way they'll listen. The only downside to that is that it's near impossible to get everyone on the same page with that, as there is always an excuse why they need to buy something.

I am 100% behind our supports overwhelming disapproval of the proposed Higgins appointment and our board in general however, I think a silent protest will only hurt the team on the park, especially in our domestic games. It might draw some attention in the European tie on Thursday (if the foreign media actually notice it and ask why it's happening) and I fully appreciate that there aren't many avenues our support can take when it comes to protesting however, I think this silent protest will only hurt the team and will be totally ignored by the board.

Silent protests only help our opposition. Played right into Livingston's hands last time and helped them get a foothold in the game.

Absolutely gutted there will be no atmosphere at the Betis game, will be my first time at Paradise in 2 years because of pandemic.I still wholeheartedly agree with the protest as the board are not listening and taking every fan for a mug in appointing this unionist pig as head of security. If we allow our club to be infiltrated by people like this then that will be the end of the club as we know it and everything it stands for.

Found out in life, people prefer you not to be loud and gobby,it easier for them to deal with,if the Celtic support have to show there opposition to Higgins in the ground it most be done in unison and continuous throughout, why the * you need a security officer , they expecting a terriost attack? or is another job for the boys for the funny handshake people

Was at the Livi game and silent protest definitely helped Livi.

Protests that hurt the team are not the answer.

Absolutely back the sentiment but we had a half hour silent protest at the start of the Livi game. Allowed them to settle into what should be their most difficult intimidating game of the season. Ended 0-0. Vocal opposition to Higgins v Motherwell but nah silent in a game we must win. Not for me. Betis I have no problem with. The board are harming the club but don’t think we should do something that may well harm the team.

    Honestly, * up with that..

I get the frustration and anger but this only hinders the team...

The rest of the support should lead the singing..

Would it not be worthwhile to gauge other fans thoughts and opinions before deciding to do this?. They could contact all the other Celtic fan forums/supporters clubs etc. and perhaps come up with a simple yes or no questionnaire asking if they would support a silent protest and, if they wish, include a section where they can ask all the other fans what they think would be the best way to protest?. Just saying they are going it alone and having a silent protest is not, I believe, the best way forward as, it not only causes some resentment, but also hinders our team on the park

The massive uptake in season tickets despite the way the board acted last season, gives them a mandate to do whatever they like.

Want change? Don’t renew. That’s the only language they understand.

Nothing will happen when the appoint this pig, absolutely nothing.
