Why go to the bother of banners if songs have the same impact. As for the huns, there is many a A&E throughout Scotland that would love the goading and hate to stop.

It won't though. It's football and it's not confined to Scotland.

The game would die without rivalry, as sad as that is it's a fact of life.

Lazio would have been well aware of our supports political stance long before the game on Thursday.

The only question around the banners is whether the reference to the Brigate Rosse was appropriate.

Fascists should be confronted at every opportunity.

Both Lazio and Roma will be out for us next week whether there was banners or not. Boro, Spurs, man united, Liverpool have all been done with knives there and we'll be no different.

So our support and agitation of the Lazio faithful was a stupid thing to do? I’ve just been reading back on attacks on Tottenham, Liverpool, Sevilla with 5 fans stabbed and one an American tourist. German club Eintracht attacked repeatedly and when they responded the Police dealt with them and the Lady Mayor of the time said “In Rome we welcome football fans with open arms but we don’t want hooligans anymore.” Why not have a conference call to the mayors of Pisa, Florence, Milan, Naples, Perugia, Verona and the rest. This is the scum support who a few seasons ago were plastering the city of Rome with stickers of Ann Frank in a Rome shirt.
So if those banners on Thursday night hadn’t been displayed Celtic fans travelling to Rome could have happily seen the sights and enjoyed refreshments without the threat of violence. Sorry, statistics don’t back that and if your other gripe is about UEFA fining us for Political banners they need to check back when they stop peddling politics and playing the friends of violent regimes in the Middle East and Particularly Israel. The same Israel who had to apply for European status after nobody in Middle East, Asia or Oceania would provide opposition. This is all bullshit, these * came marching into Glasgow displaying their vile beliefs with hatred. They are the big embarrassment in this. Aren’t we forever told by PMs, MOD, Government Officials how great their nation was for overthrowing Facism in the hands of Hitler.
Our club may want to view itself among the corridors and blazers as an apolitical entity. We are not and right back to our beginning our founders were involved heavily in Irish politics. The reason our club started is political in itself. This has always run through our history embracing one cause or another. As for Rome stay safe bhoys but you knew what was ahead when you booked.

We should have applauded them onto the pitch and sent their fans a token of friendship, just incase we set them off with our vile condemnation of their fascist views.

That my be true, but it doesn’t mean their bigotry should go unchecked and unchallenged because of this.

That was mostly Roma fan's I'm sure..

Night before at shutting time again. Know a boy from Sevenoaks who got attacked that night....none of them were angels to be fair either..

    Nailed it..

Anyone thinking they'd of been letting Tim's off for no slagging them in Glasgow....Jesus they're delusional as *..

In fact they were walking round the town mobbed up the day and night before * saluting away and looking for bother. I suppose that's our fault as well?

They can't stand us. We all knew that before and the feeling is very much mutual..

The likelihood is keep your wits about you the night before when it's around shutting time in the wee bar's around the city. It's guaranteed they'll be looking to do damage then and the banner and 'provoking' would've done nothing to change that..

The day of the game will probably be less likely for grief considering they're all banned and will be keeping more of a low profile then I'd imagine. Polis will be everywhere (although like a lot of Europe now...They're *'s)..

    * them. 10 thousand taking over a stunning city and the pope's 11 leaving victorious..

Ham rolls and bacon butties. Good old western food. Welcome Nazio, please don't attack our fans in Rome...

The stories are already written. SMSM are desperate for trouble so they can blame the GB.

Was there any outrage at the hun banner showing a Tim getting his head kicked before we bossed them on their own patch?

That's just daft Catholics, it's so ingrained in this country that it's accepted.

Honestly, replace taig/tarrier/pape/plastic paddy etc... Insert Muslim/terrorist/black/foreigner and watch the media go into overdrive.

We are still second class citizens (at least) to a lot of people in Scotland.

We must be the only country to have a go at people highlighting fascism and racism

In the meantime sevco have heavy artillery pitchside and army members bouncing about to the sash.

    Everyone Anyone indeed...

Let's be honest here, the GB knew exactly what they were doing with that star. However the display was green and it said GREEN BRIGADE. The 5 pointed star was used by all anti fascist groups decades before the Brigate Rosse

I had a 'debate' with a Tim who claimed the trouble in Amsterdam was heightened because we stole a flag in the first game and hung it upside down..

What the * is happening to football?

The whole point of the game is to get it right up the opposition, on the field and off the field.

If you are concerned about Rome don't go, simple as that. You must have been aware of the risks long before the home game.

Stay in large groups, don't wander off. Keep the heid as much as possible and * enjoy yourselves.

    Rome is Green and White.
