Despite the ramblings of "ambition" and all the other bastardized statements they like to make its obvious this boards preoccupation is protection rather progression.

They balance the books for the possibility we dont make the CL whist inoring the notion that spending even 20% of that safety net would see us make the * CL.

We are not going to go * bust if we spend 10m on a cb and rb.

Board are only concerned with investing in off field assets and selling off on field ones to fund it.

Theyre a bunch of yellow *.

    We've became a poor man's Arsenal and it's repugnant.

and just like Arsenal, constant focus on doing the bare minimum for CL qualification has obviously meant we've became stale and been overtaken by numerous smaller clubs who are showing us up and guess what we actually fail in our big goal. No way AEK Athens should be beating Celtic over two legs, i'm sorry.
    No, no * way ever.

Actually it's allowed our park to have nicer grass with less bald patches come February apparently.

I am not an accountant but having such an obscene amount of money sitting in the bank account, subject to inflation and taxes, is a terrible idea even from the point of view of greedy scummy tory like the ones at our board.

We usually treat this as if it was a dichotomy between ambition and prudence. It's neither, they are just incompetent or corrupt.

i wonder if money is being set aside to fund the hotel superstore etc project and fanzone thing ourselves with cash. think it was going to cost about £20 Million? can't really see the use in having what could be about £50 million sitting there otherwise

We can let the millions sit and get very healthy return in interest and advantages. Does the rolling interest get declared. May sound like a stupid question to someone who knows our accounts but I’ve just thought about it. Most football clubs can’t bank money so it would be a rare occurrence.

You should contact the Regulator and report your suspicions ... I won't hold my breath however as we both know you are talking *.

Really * me off when people, who haven't a clue, start to gibber on about corruption at our Club.

All income will be declared on our publicly declared accounts Packy. Having surplus cash shows we can weather a dramatic drop in income for a period of time. It also helps us get preferential borrowing rates, as we know from the loans with the Coop bank. Finally it also demonstrates to other businesses that we are a professional Club who will be able to meet our commitments regarding transfer fees/bills etc.

How does that actively help us? We're already a much stronger option than any other club in Scotland, yet a million miles off the cash rich sides around the European leagues. Genuinely asking btw. Man United for example, have millions upon millions in debt, yet when it comes down to it, what business or commercial partner wouldn't feel more confident partnering with them when it comes to producing money?
