The Celtic Star ran a poll on Sunday 21st Feb asking :
The Emirates Paradise – Would you be supportive of incoming CEO Dominic McKay selling Celtic Park Stadium naming rights if the price is right?

Their poll had 83% in favour of this.

Well, would you agree to name change to The Emirates Paradise assuming the price is right.
If done right we would dominate Scottish football again until we join the Atlantic league. Lawwell will no longer be there to block it.
£1bn for 20 years naming rights would bring in £50m a year just for that alone and would allow us to bring in top quality players.

Sell them naming rights all they want. Everyone else does it and most the time no one who matters calls it other than it's original names anyway.
Dortmunds ground is the Westfalenstadion to most football fans anyway. Only tv coverage calls it the Signal Iduna Park - which I had to google twice because I kept typing out "Sigunda Park" so shows how much we all care.

    Take the money and run!

    * selling out like that, and * especially the United Arab Emirates. Abusive towards guest workers, and a backward-minded hole.

Also, never are we getting £50mill a year for the stadiu naming rights. Adidas barely give 15% of that for the kits!

Be around 5-10million at best per annum.
    Still take it and run!
Any income is decent, so long as it all goes back to the playing squad in some fashion (coaching, training ground, youth, whatever. Just not museum ideas and the CEO pocket)

Wouldn't really give a *, fans will still just call it celtic park, paradise, parkhead etc. who cares if commentators before a game say welcome to the corporate shitehawk arena, that's just the modern game, have to get the most out of every revenue stream especially in a league like ours.

Anything that helps us compete at a higher level is ok with me. Rename the stadium. I’ll still call it Paradise no matter what.

The idea sickens me to be honest. Not the name change, but promoting the UAE. Might as well call it Israel park, or the Saudi Arabia arena. * off.

Nobody really calls it Celtic Park anyway, most people I know, myself included, call it either Parkhead/Paradise, so if it's extra revenue then why not.

Exactly, Quatar till example have murdered 6500 guest workers to build their WC infrustructure. UAE have medieval laws which turns rape victims into culprits and hijackes princesses who want to live as free human beings, putting them under drugs and lock them up. With our greedy tory board a deal would quite possibly be made with such a state/organisation direct or not, ignoring our foundation values. So we better show some moral as the money wouldn't be reinvested into the squad anyways. Has not in the last 10 years, will not for the next few years.

£1 billion over 20 years seems a bit cheap.

I wouldn't get out of my bed for that.
