If you read the article I sent you and listen to the voice note from a doctor.
The youngest in intensive care is 38 and they have people on their 20's on respirators, not intensive care. So I got that wrong.
It's the strain it will have on the health service if it all hits at once. Its at breaking point as it is.

Nah guys 100% mate that is the people who have died so far, that have underlying conditions and the elderly, still terrible though but believe me the horrible press and media will certainly be the first to tell us if a young fit person dies of it

You are at it, it’s basically been on the news for the last two weeks ffs. The people who are dying all have underlying health issues. Or have I just imagined all of this?

Gyp made a good point about Yemen, though. Where is the hysteria about those people dying? There's a lot to think about here.

That's what I'm seeing also, "I'm not old I don't care mentality" If 80% of the UK gets it, Guess how many old people that could kill.

It was refuted by Snopes as false, I know they aren’t exactly the most reliable source. But until I see * keeling over in public I think I’ll keep it together.

Put your tap back on and reread my post ,I’m attacking the attitude of people when they say it’s only killing the old and sick not you.

What attitude. I'm just simply posting what I've read in the media a fair bit and who is most at risk if infected..

No * is doing handstands at the thought of the elderly and poorly being most at risk..

Another point people are missing is the global economy, do you honestly think they want their system ie Capitalism to stop. This will all blow over until the next skim off the markets.

It’s not an attitude if that’s what’s happening is it?

Correct you are as are most people ,it’s a quote that is being flung around and used as if it’s nothing now . That’s concerning .

You are the one who needs to think about things, there will still be more deaths worldwide from more deadly diseases than this trust me.

It’s happening yes but shouldn’t people be thinking it’s worrying that the old and sick are dying before their time as opposed to buying all the bog roll and hand wipes then shrugging their shoulders . I am not by any means saying you are as I’ve read your posts and you don’t seem like one of those type of people but masses of people are because they are being told it’s nothing to worry about it’s only the old and sick who are dying

And cars, the number of people killed each year by cars dwarfs this. Pollution.... starvation....wars promoted, armed or funded by the west or Russia... The number of preventable deaths through any one of these things dwarfs this.

My mum's a nurse in her 60's who will be on the front line of this. I genuinely worry about her right now; but there is definitely a bit of double standards in the media reaction to this.

Possibly because wealth doesn't seem to protect you.

However it is serious enough and we should definitely be taking as many precautions as possible. As I and others have pointed out above, even if you are young and fit, you can potentially save lives by doing so.

Here's a link to the info you are looking for bud, apparently 0.9% of deaths have had no existing conditions. I've just scanned it really but some interesting stats.
