Sorry for the bump in thread.

With the success of the Bundesliga restarting and now the Premier League is going ahead, I do wish we had been given the green light to get the league wrapped up properly.

There would have been none of this “tainted, asterisk” title *.

Anyone else the same or you just happy it’s all over?

No and no one knows how this will affect rising numbers of infected,is a 2nd wave approaches then it will be even more dangerous. The Germans and English are to high in demand of money, money over safety.....lets see how the waves are ridden with this.

You think PSG are thinking the same? or others?

    * HUNS

    Who gives a * what they say,they cheated,they died,they have ZERO.

We concentrate on this window, then securing the treble, then onto 10 and the treble, then watch those * mutants implode and die again.

We won 9 and they are * ragggggggiiiiiinggggggggg YASSSSSSSSSS

I don’t think it was ever feasible for Scottish football to be played behind closed doors. Many clubs wouldn’t have been able to afford the running costs without gate receipts, including players and staff on furlough.

The Huns are probably included in that tbh.

    Thanks for all your inputs.

for the record I don’t think it’s tainted one bit. Just wanted to know if anyone would have preferred to see it played out on the field.

However off the back of the comment about clubs not being able to continue without gates receipts. Surely without any form of football from March to August is going to affect clubs anyway?

I would’ve preferred to see the season out, but I get the feeling it may have been impossible. I know some leagues will, but I think they’ll be leagues with significantly more money, or based in countries that were significantly less affected than the UK was.

For any Sevconites using the tainted line....

“Furthermore, we are strongly opposed to playing games behind closed doors. Rangers fans have stuck by our club in the darkest of times. Their loyalty will not be forgotten and they will not be left behind.”

You were the first club in Scotland to come out and strongly oppose behind closed doors games. It’s all well and good saying you wanted to see out the season now, but the proof is there skin black and white. A bit like a boxer looking mercifully over at his corner, while taking a beating, then throwing his toys out the park when the towel comes in.

    You waived the white flag.

Scotland going by the Government's policy is unlikely to see any domestic football until August at the earliest. Far from ideal when you consider CL qualifiers may have to be played before then. But what concerns me is what if the Gov by the CL start dates still won't allow any football to be played behind closed doors or not?

As to when play gets under way again for sure it is going to affect some clubs. I'd be very surprised at the end of all this is we still have 42 clubs. Unless clubs have substantial cash reserves without loans or some form of investment it'll be impossible for them all to survive.

We at the minute can survive longer than any other club in Scotland for sure but without match day income but even our reserves won't be unlimited, and that if we go past August still at square one will be a major issue.

I was half way through writing a big spiel and deleted it, bottomed line we would have won it with whatever permutation available.

The biggest positive, the deluded ones didn't get the spanking they would have if it continued therefore that thick scouse * gets another season.
