The only way it will stay for a year is if idiots ignore advice and go out and spread the virus. If everyone in the country stayed home for 1 month it would be over, yes i know that is not possible with NHS staff and police ect....but you get the idea.
Look at NZ and look at england, one knows what to do and acts and the other is run by * morons who get nothing right.

The Scottish Professional Football League (SPFL) told member clubs this season’s outstanding fixtures could not take place ahead of the new campaign because there are not enough dates in the calendar to complete both, STV has learned.

Prior to the 42 clubs being asked to cast their vote to bring an end to the season, the SPFL board advised clubs the new campaign was unlikely to begin before August due to the coronavirus outbreak.

On Wednesday last week, the board put forward a resolution recommending clubs to vote in favour of calling an end to the current season in the Championship, League 1 and League 2.

It also asked Premiership clubs to vote on bringing the campaign to an end, but their decision will be used as the basis for further discussions with UEFA.

In the SPFL’s resolution, STV can reveal clubs were advised the new season, which includes league matches and the Betfred Cup, would not begin until mid-September at the earliest if this season’s current fixtures – including play-off matches – were to be played.

The football authorities have been advised by the Scottish government that the restrictions currently in place as a result of the coronavirus pandemic may not be lifted until at least 10 June.

Clubs were asked to submit votes on the SPFL resolution to the league by 5pm on Friday.

For the resolution to be passed, the vote required 75% of Premiership clubs to be in favour, 75% of the Championship sides, and 75% of League 1 and 2 combined.

But the voting has been shrouded in controversy.

While the resolution was overwhelmingly backed by Premiership clubs and clubs in League 1 and 2, one crucial vote remains outstanding in the Championship.

It emerged Dundee voted against the proposal, but then asked for the vote to be withdrawn after it was claimed by the SPFL the vote had not been registered.

After consulting legal advice, Partick Thistle – who would be relegated from the Championship if Dundee changed their vote from no to yes – claimed the Dens Park club’s original vote must stand.

They have also criticised the SPFL board for the voting process and called on the governing body to pay clubs loans rather than final prize money on current league standings.

Dundee said they remain committed to league reconstruction but have yet to clarify their vote.

So that is why the Huns voted NO no more football fixtures before new season means no title for us :31:

Call the league now, we are champions, restart it when possible, we'll be champions. Let the rancid * and the other fodder bang on as if they matter .

These statements by Dundee are truly awful.

They need to stop pretending they are being noble when they are actually being quite despicable. They've gamed the system to push through their agenda.

If they really feel the proposal was unfair then vote against it so we can move forward fairly.

SPFL should refuse to speak to them until they vote. That's the only fair thing to do. If clubs die in the mean time then so be it, nothing could be done.

Statement is a shambles they openly admit they voted before the deadline and they are now taking an advantage of an opportunity

Exactly and now other "No" voters will jump on the bandwagon (again) to say it should stand (again) - it is never ending...

I can't even begrudge what they're doing they are highlighting how much of a shambles the SPFL are. No matter how they vote the vote holds very little if any credibility now. If they vote no the huns will preach for null and void which simply wont happen it opens more questions that it answers

Dundee claim 2 Premier clubs changed their vote / minds

WHAT the * has that got to do with a Championship club?

Given 'Rangers' and Hearts are the 2 to vote against and the obvious beneficiaries of a null & void League I think it's safe to assume it isn't them.

So from that you can conclude that 2 other SPFL clubs had allegedly indicated they were going to vote against it but ended up voting for it, in that situation Dundee's vote would've been irrelevant as it wouldn't have had sufficient backing of Premiership Clubs.

Theoretically it shouldn't change their opinion on it. The only 2 things I can think that they would stall is, to find out why those 2 clubs had changed their mind or the far more likely option that they seen they had the deciding vote and they want to use it as leverage.

My guess would be the sheep and Hibs..

Hibs miss out on the top 6. Sheep miss out on third spot..

It's clear as day now that although it looked dodgy , that Dundee have used this as a chance to gain an advantage for their selves. I can't blame them, although they are ripping the * right out of it :giggle1:

There is only 1 way Dundee can be promoted and thats with league reconstruction.
If they make it a 14 team league then Hearts must go down for Dundee to benefit.
    Hearts wont accept that.
15 team league with no relegation wont work either as Ayr wont vote for that and could complain to UEFA which would block the move and could actually end up in the hands of CAS.

Makes you wonder if they will have huge spike in cases though when they ease restrictions. Will just have to wait and see I suppose
