Id imagine the USA part is dependent on winning the league and thus no qualifiers, since that was always the supposed excuse for us not bothering to capitalise more often on these trips.

Celtic fans over there deserve a chance to see the bhoys at a match, they are some of the most faithful supporters and it’s not always easy for them to get to a CSC (sometimes a good distance or just too far to travel) meet up with other fans or even just watch a game at home because of the time difference.

The University of Notre Dame will welcome both Celtic and Chelsea to Indiana this summer, as the Bhoys go head to head with Mauricio Pochettino’s men on July 27 at the iconic Notre Dame Stadium in the city of South Bend.
The match is the last of three games for the Bhoys on their USA pre-season tour this summer, with more information on other opponents and match venues to be announced very soon.
The showpiece occasion between Celtic and Chelsea will be the second meeting of the sides, with the only previous encounter in Seattle during Celtic’s famous tour of America back in 2004.
It also marks the return of international football to Notre Dame Stadium which previously hosted Borussia Dortmund v Liverpool back in 2019.
Looking forward to the occasion, Celtic Manager Brendan Rodgers said: “Everyone at Celtic is delighted to be visiting the United States again, particularly for such an exciting pre-season programme and we are really looking forward to meeting Chelsea at Notre Dame.
“I know Mauricio well and I look forward to seeing him and his team again in July for what I am sure will be a brilliant occasion between two major European clubs.
“Pre-season preparation is always an important time and, of course, Chelsea will present us with a strong and exciting challenge.
“We are so fortunate to have such a strong support worldwide and particularly right across the US, so I'm sure our visit will allow our fans a great opportunity to see the team in action and, in turn, we really look forward to seeing our fans there.
“To be playing at the famous and iconic University of Notre Dame at such a fantastic venue will be a unique moment for the club and we are sure the home of the 'Fighting Irish' will generate huge support for Celtic and inspire a great sporting occasion.”

The fact that they've included Rodgers in the graphic spells out, to me at least, that there's no danger of him being replaced, even if he fluffs the league.

Celtic’s US line up complete as club to meet EPL Champions Manchester City and top MLS side DC United
Celtic Football Club is delighted to confirm the final pair of their 2024 USA Tour opponents this summer.
First, the Bhoys go head to head with Manchester City in Chapel Hill, North Carolina on Tuesday, July 23.
The University of North Carolina’s Kenan Stadium will host the match against Pep Guardiola’s men, with the sides having only met twice before in competitive action in the group stages of the UEFA Champions League back in 2016/17.
Having drawn on both previous occasions, it’s set to be an exciting encounter as the Celts look to secure their first victory over Man City during this summer USA Tour.
Tickets for the match will go on general sale via Ticketmaster on Wednesday, March 27 at 10:00 a.m. local time. Fans can sign up now for an exclusive 24-hour presale which will also be accessible to Season Ticket holders at www.FCSeries.com. The pre-sale window will be open from 10am on 25th March.
Proceeds from the match will benefit UNC Children's Hospital. Last year, $150,000 was donated to the hospital.
"Both of these teams are champions, and we are excited to bring them to a campus that has no shortage of trophies,” said Molly Pendleton, Senior Vice President, Unified Events.
Celtic defender, Cameron Carter-Vickers spoke of the team’s excitement ahead of the tour: "Everyone at Celtic is really looking forward to our summer visit to the U.S. and of course myself as a U.S. national player, I can't wait. We have some great matches lined up at brilliant venues and of course our match with Manchester City will be bringing together two of the biggest names in the game. We are fortunate at Celtic to have such a global reach and we hope as many supporters as possible can attend the match in North Carolina - and of course we will be doing our very best to put on a great show for the fans."
The announcement of the match v Manchester City in North Carolina comes hot on the heels of yesterday’s confirmation that the Celts will take on Chelsea at the iconic Notre Dame Stadium in Indiana on July 27, ensuring an exciting fixture list for our Celtic supporters stateside.
The third match to be confirmed will be the first game played by the Bhoys on their U.S. Summer Tour when Celtic take on MLS side DC United in Washington at Audi Field in the American capital on July 20.
One of the founding clubs of Major League Soccer in 1996, DC United are among the most decorated teams in the United States with 13 domestic and international trophies.
The Black-and-Red have won the MLS Cup four times (1996, 1997, 1999 and 2004), the Supporters’ Shield four times (1997, 1999, 2006 and 2007) and the Lamar Hunt US Open Cup three times (1996, 2008 and 2013).
“We are committed to continuing to provide the DMV with world-class friendlies against globally recognisable opponents,” Danita Johnson, D.C. United President of Business Operations, said. “We are proud to welcome Celtic FC to Audi Field and we know how deep their support runs in the United States and across the world. This will be a unique experience for soccer fans in the DMV to see DC United lining up against another elite European opponent at Audi Field.”
Celtic club captain and Scotland internationalist Callum McGregor said: “We are delighted to be visiting Washington to meet DC United and we are sure the match will be another great sporting occasion. Celtic has enjoyed a number of great visits to the United States previously to play both European and MLS teams and I am sure this summer we will enjoy another successful visit.
“We are really grateful to have such a strong fanbase in the States and it is great that these matches will give our fans a chance to see us in action again.”
Celtic supporters can register for Priority Pre-Sale of tickets for the DC United match between March 19 and March 25 by visiting here.
Tickets for all Season Ticket holders and fans who signed up for Priority Pre-Sale tickets will be available for purchase on Monday, March 25. Tickets will be available to purchase for the general public on Wednesday, March 27. -

Some folk are so * up themselves it's no real, and as always now that we're looking positive again certain people have gone missing or are a lot quieter because their perma-rage would be misplaced.
A novel idea would be to back the team and get involved with creating a positive environment, but nah that would make some of these horrible * feel like happy clapper celtic da's so just keep quiet till the knives can come back out. * pathetic man.
More of a rant than I intended but * it it's off my chest :giggle1:Dannybhoy81, HoopyT, littlekennie and 2 others like this. -
