    Is McCarthy injured?

I'd have thought this would have been a good opportunity for some game time.

Ange said he'd picked up a knock so not in the squad. But nothing serious.

We will never keep this up all season unless we get more in the door.

Yes I do have a lot to learn first to admit. Thats why I asked and there are lot of other boards exactly the same. Ask the geordies. So with this Ange appointment did the board 1. know what they were doing? 2. Go a cheap option? 3. Get very * lucky? 4. all of the above?

You won't hear it but for all the hate they get they deserve credit for getting this guy in. Someone somewhere at least knows what they are doing. I have a feeling Howe was the old boards man and AP was pushed through by Dom McKay so he deserves kudos for that imo. If we sign a few more quality players this window then it's been a very promising couple of months from the board and McKay will have made a good start to his tenure.

Beginning end of last season and through this season is/was just crying out for a Netfix documentary; would really love to see what goes on behind the scenes (I suspect between the board and perhaps being a publicly listed entity, this would never happen).

Probably a mixture of them all m8 however, I think option 1. is highly unlikely - unless there's someone there who actually knows a wee bit about football who's been hiding in the background.

Was my first game back yesterday, walking up those stairs and seeing the stadium again was genuinely unreal, I started welling up once we were in our seats tbh.

Then there was the performance :35: :ange:

Yesterday’s performance was somewhat reminiscent of the Rodgers era — the feel good factor, confidence, atmosphere and buzz was back. The only difference is that this team has more urgency and desire and retain this for the full 90 minutes; continuously relentless and hungry. I think it’s safe to say that we’ll dish out a few absolute *-whoopings over the course of the season, especially at Paradise. Hailz!

I see and hear a lot of people harping on about St Mirren's goal being wrongly chalked off and that the red was borderline.

These events were never going to change the result.

If we are talking about events that HAVE changed results, let's talk about our goal against Hearts...

Couldn't have put this any better myself aye not enough of that being spoken about tbh had that goal been given I'm 100% sure we'd have gone on to win the match convincingly

Anyone saying that’s not a red doesn’t have a clue

I like it when they say it wasn't a red but could've broken his leg if it were planted...

    They don't sense the irony.

Funnily enough, that was brushed over. Perfectly legitimate goal to go in front..

As was Halliday's red card challenge he got away with..

As was the freekick that never was for their winner..

3 game changing decisions and what a shock, all went against us..

It wasn't a red... It was bordering on an assault! The potential to harm the player was collosal. To suggest it's not worth sending off shows a complete lack of understanding of the game

I said before, and will again... The refs can't blow against us fast enough, and don't seem to be able to blow in favour of us at all, unless it's ABSOLUTELY unavoidable. They're acting like last year's shithousery has not only not sated their need, but has completely enabled them to feel unchallengeable in their bias...
