We will have a European game the Thursday before so the league game would be on the Sunday so we can't play Tuesday

That’s exactly my point, we can’t out score everyone and the defence problem hasn’t exactly just crept up on us.

Wouldn't be the same for Gordon not to concede 3 goals at Celtic Park.

A concern of mine is how sloppy we can be on the ball at times, sometimes across the backline.
I think we might get punished when playing against stronger opposition.
We tend to go for killer balls quite a lot and turn over possession as well, which might see the ball coming back at us.
The positive is that we seem to play with a lot more purpose and cutting edge.
I think a major factor in that is that we have a lot more runners off the ball, especially in advanced areas.

Things are certainly looking up, but important to keep a sense of perspective. Wednesday night will give us a better idea of where we are at.

First half was amazing. Biggest negative was that we didn't score more. Second half we started well but lost it for a bit and the goals we lost were poor. We need to strengthen our defence especially but also get some bodies in so we have the depth to play the way we want.

Great game, but I have now lost count of how many times we have been sucker punched in the last minutes of a game :31:

Apparently Moffat scored 5 yesterday in a Celtic B team game. Would be interesting to see how he got on in a first team game in front of a big crowd at Celtic Park. Certainly looked good in the pre-season friendlies.

That first 45 mins was the best football display I've seen at Parkhead for ages. The atmosphere was electric and the joy on supporters faces was there for everyone to see. 2nd Half wasn't as great however I reckon this was down to us tiring, missing more chances, the diets changing their system and Gordon pulling of some good saves. I know he's a bit of an eejit but Gordon is much better than both Bain and Barkas together and we should have tried to keep him

First 45 was phenominal, dropped off it in the second but that's to be expected, badly need players in the door.

Tbf Hearts were lucky not to lose 5+ goals in that game.

I’m doing a report for the game and would like an opinion or someone more clued into the rules of football than me. See when Starfelt got penalised he had control of the ball and I believe Boyce came in from the side just as Starfelt was pulling his leg back to hit the ball but clipped Boyce instead. The commentary said it was a stonewall blatant penalty and could have no complaints but I can’t see how Starfelt could have avoided that because he wasn’t aware of Boyce impeding him from the side. Am I wrong or is it just a penalty?

Deflection took it straight into the boys path is what I meant, don’t worry I know we have major issues at the back. I’d be seriously worried if Welsh picked up an injury.
