I would have thought Scales would have been starting, looked assured and confident when he came on the other night. On paper this team lacks energy in the middle, Jota and Abada give it up front but without a forward that can run into gaps I think there will be too much reliance on them.and make it easy for Utd to defend .

 

Bit strange because honestly I think Boli deserved to keep that LB spot.

For me scales seemed to be signed as the left back option (or did we seriously believe we was going in to this season proper with Taylor as the only established left back?). So scales should be getting a start here. He is fit, surely?


The bench, as we expect, is woeful and showing how much work was still needed.

I said at the last few days of the window I was to be happy with things in general, if we had added the CB(carter Vickers) along with a striker and left winger. We got that.
12 players in etc, it's good. But the squad still needed another 5 or so of a decent quality, as we see with a few injuries, we lack a lot in this squad.

I still don't understand why we need to leave the big gaps in the main stand when down here you don't
