Tbh I don't think Moyes' appointment would be risking the 10, and his pragmatic approach might get us results in Europe. I just don't like him, he also knocked us back before so why now we are an attractive option for him tells its own story regarding his reputation.

It would just be thoroughly underwhelming, and I'd rather have Lennon in charge despite his drawbacks, because he will live and breathe the club rather than try and enhance his worth as a manager.

That last bit better no happen again. I want Lennon for the job. We're two years off the 10 and we can't afford to * about with an experimental manager. Neil Lennon knows the score, knows what needs to be done, get him in the job.

We simply can't mess Neil about this time. The next two seasons are critical. If the board messes it up then it'll all have been for nothing.

Last time around they totally done a number on Neil. Sold Forster, Kelvin Wilson, Wanyama, Ki-Sun Young, Lesley and Hooper and told him he'd get cash for replacements if he qualified for the Champ League - while the board sold his best players from under him

Not this time around surely. This is too important

I know our board are tight as *, but aye can't see them being so tight as to offer Jose only 260k a year or AVB 104k a year.

Ivan Leko just confirmed not to be renewing his contract with Club Brugge. Rumour at the press conf was that he is in talks with a club from overseas. EPL or who knows... What better job is there at the moment then ours?
Now that would be a realistic and smart option! Good manager at Brugge, let them play good football in the past two years. Has a good system, attacking and fiery style of play. Tactically pretty clued up as well.

Only downside is, there is a police operation ongoing about underhand payments(not match fixing, more like tax evading, the huns would love that one) where he is one of the main suspects.

When Lenny took over after the rat left us, he was in awe of the set up that had been put in place, i want a manager who can maintain or build on that template.

I think people need to seperate their love for Lenny and his suitability for the job, for me he isn't the right man, it dosen't matter what was achieved when he was here years ago, that was then and this is now.

We should definitely be considering him, along with a raft of other managers. But I doubt we are.

Dembele was Ronny's IMO. I believed Ronny about that even before Brendan revealed his true colours. The point can be argued; but what can't be argued is that it definitely happened under our old scouting system before Congerton was employed at Brendan's insistence.

Anyone who thinks these guys are turning us down because we aren't offering decent money is making a big assumption.
I highly doubt that. I think if we approached someone like Mourinho (and Sutton is probably right about that), we probably offered them their going rate.

Four reasons why these guys aren't going to join us: S, P, F and L.

    * me sideways. Let me know when Tony Blair releases his masterclass on preventing illegal wars, Nigel Farage does his on tackling racism and Teresa May starts offering classes on eradicating poverty.
