Casper Tengstedt

We've been linked with him a few times this season, but this has came up today from a decent source in Denmark. I assume its us and not the other lot as we're after a striker.

 

No chance if that amount of clubs are interested..

He would be a great signing. He came to Rosenborg in the summer window though. They probably want a big wad of cash to let him go after just half a season.

According to bold.dk's information, top clubs in the Netherlands, Portugal and Scotland as well as clubs from Germany and Italy are showing interest in Rosenborg bomber Casper Tengstedt.





Casper Tengstedt has had a decidedly dream start in Rosenborg, after the 22-year-old striker took a step up to the Norwegian big club from AC Horsens in August



Although Tengstedt has only been in Norway for half a year, even bigger clubs are already showing interest.


bold.dk learns that several top clubs in the Netherlands, Portugal and Scotland are interested and have inquired about Tengstedt. The same applies to central clubs from Germany and Italy.


Rosenborg is naturally very happy with Casper Tengstedt and has no plans to sell yet, but if a big enough offer lands, that can of course change.


According to bold.dk's information, on the good side of DKK 30 million must be on the table before Rosenborg will even consider a sale of Casper Tengstedt here and now.


This summer, Rosenborg paid AC Horsens around DKK 7.5 million for Tengstedt, who has signed a long contract until the end of 2026

Think he's exactly the type of striker that we need. Tall, strong, looks like he gets in the 6 yard box and poaches. Let's face it we miss far too many chances. Give this lad the service seems like he would take most

 

GG out for £7m and Tengstedt and Cho in for a combined £6m? * can't be right surely. Genuinely thought Rosenborg would be wanting David Datro Fofana money.

 

Aye. Didn't realise they paid 7.5m for him in the summer that's mental. Can't see this one happening unfortunately.

 

Think it's 7.5m Norwegian currency mate, amounts to far less in pounds.

Fair enough mate haha would love to get this one over the line but has that "too good to be true" vibe about it. Him or Cho would make a superb window

 

30 million DKK is still only around £3.5m. Tengstedt had a good season the one before but in the second tier of Danish football for Horsens where he mainly played as a winger or wide forward. He mainly played in a two up top for Rosenberg, where he played with a target man poacher striker and he was given licence to roam about more.

He seems a quality finisher, the only thing he doesn’t really have is pace.

 

Don't want a striker that doesn't have pace..

He got more than enough pace in him to play in Ange's system imo. His passing is decent as well.

Molde just sold Fofana to Chelsea for £10m and Rosenborg will probably ask for a fee a little lower than that. Doubt they'll consider selling for £3.5m unless there's a release clause involved.
