    He's definitely getting there..

All our CBs and GK will make mistakes with the ball as they are asked to do lots with it.

Played really well again, isn't being caught out or playing as many misplaced passes now.

So wanted Jullien back in the side but Starfelt has been excellent of late. Shows great mental strength to show this form after a shaky start to his career.

It’s been a hectic start to life at Celtic for Carl Starfelt since signing from Russian side Rubin Kazan back in July.

The Swedish central defender was thrown straight into the starting XI just days after putting pen to paper on his deal and he’s become a key component in Ange Postecoglou’s team ever since.

Only injury has kept Starfelt out of the team as he missed the whole month of November with a spell on the treatment table.

However, while he couldn’t contribute on the park, the time away from the pitch gave him the chance to become more settled to life in Glasgow, moving into a new apartment and familiarising himself with the city.

With Christmas approaching, it’s a chance for the 26-year-old to welcome his family over to show off his new surroundings, but while they have been in Sweden, the defender says it’s been the Celtic fans that have made him feel at home.

Sitting down to speak with the official Celtic programme ahead of Sunday’s clash with Motherwell, he said: “I got my Christmas tree the other day and when I went to buy it, the people were Celtic fans, so they just gave it to me for free! I tried to pay but they wouldn’t let me.

“Being able to play in front of those fans is so special as well, they make you enjoy playing every time and we get unbelievable support.

“I like living here a lot, I like to spend time in the West End walking around parks and going to restaurants, but now I have my own place I love to cook which I can do more of.

'I’ve settled in a lot more now and I’m enjoying life outside of the pitch.'

“My housing situation is all sorted which really helps. I was staying in a hotel for a very long time, but now I have my apartment and I’ve been able to have family and friends over, so I’m enjoying life.

“I’ve got into the groove of things a lot more and the atmosphere in the team is great as well, so I’m enjoying life.”

I think reading about his home situation getting sorted and thus feeling more settled off the field probably has played a role in his much better performances lately.

Still making a lot of unforced errors for someone who is supposed to have turned a corner.

He gave away possession cheaply 2 or 3 times near the end, all in bad areas in our own half, a few other little things as well. He didn't play badly but I can never seem to relax watching him, always get the feeling there is a mistake waiting to happen.

Thought he got himself into some awkward positions..

    He's had more dominant displays.

He was fine but the fact CCV was a colossus at times put him in the shade.

That’s 1 goal conceded in his last 8 starts. Him and CCV are turning into a solid partnership.

Dunno if it’s been said but the way he hit the deck for Rogic’s goal to get out the way is a wee show of how much more switched on he is generally. He just needed some time to find his feet.

Thought he was having a bit of a stinker tonight along with CCV but his sending off was harsh as *. Particularly the first booking after he looked like he came out a boxing match.
