Don’t know how people watched that game and thought he was the problem when Carter-Vickers was playing…

He's usually OK for about 60% of a match but in the other 40% he usually puts us under unnecessary pressure and gives away goals.

He is doing nothing to keep Welsh out the team. Criminal to keep playing him ahead of Welsh. Absolutely criminal.

Pair of them were awful for the 3rd goal, as was Carter Vickers for the 2nd, as was Ralston and Soro for the 3rd and so on and so forth.

Ralston and Soro were dreadful for the first goal but I’d say CCV was the main guy at fault for their last 3 goals.

I think he's gash and is always gonna be gash, he just look clueless 90% of the time and confused the other 10%. Also he's getting played in front of others coz of how much he cost
I cannot believe this guy was an Ange signing.

Seems like he is being played because of the fee paid.

Can you imagine him trying to run out and play that wee short pass to the side, on the plastic pitch Sunday?

    No for me..

Carter-Vickers didn't have a great game but you can see his attributes that he could be a good CB for us.

Strong, reasonably quick, attacks balls in the air, doesn't shirk a tackle.

Starfelt on the other hand seems to have little in the way of redeeming features. What are his actual strengths? Clumsy, one-paced, looks uncomfortable with the ball at his feet, not particularly aggressive. Welsh is far superior in my eyes, which begs the question why did we splurge so much on this guy?

I like him and CCV and thought both were OK last night which is bizarre.

Suppose for me the shape and style of play are as much to blame as the personnel.

He's ripping in to Carter-Vickers yet watch the third and fourth goals..

He is shambolic beyond belief how he actually just let's their striker ghost in and leaves his self in an impossible situation to win it back. It's hoaching defending..

Then watch the fourth. Carter-Vickers can't see what's behind him. Starfelt can see everything and yet he doesn't say a single word to him. Either time or leave it as I'm coming over the back of you. Pitiful defending from an experienced defender..

Let's blame it on the guy who's just in though and has shown more qualities in 2 game's than the more experienced guy who's been in from the start..

I'd trust Carter-Vickers over him every single time and I'm sure he'll show it..

I don’t think Carter-Vickers has shown anything to say he’s going to be a good CB for us to be honest. Not saying he won’t but he never got tested against Ross County and was all over the place last night. Honestly I don’t think any of them will be the answer long term. Just feels people have made their mind up with Starfelt so are now bumming up CCV even though he’s shown nothing yet.

As I said in my post I don’t know how anyone could watch last nights game, and taking it in isolation, and think he was the problem.

Welsh would be first choice for me just now but again I don’t think he or any of our CB’s will be the answer long term for where we want to be.

He's only had 2 games so far, so I'll reserve full judgement til he's settled in more but I've seen enough promise to believe there's a CB in CCV.

He might not have been tested against Ross County but there were little things that he was doing that I like a CB to show. There was no hesitation/backing off, he was reading the play well and looking a few steps ahead and won everything in the air.

Starfelt I think we've had a big enough sample size of, I would ask anyone that still thinks there's a chance he could come good....what are his strengths?

For all Boyata was a bombscare with the ball at his feet, he was athletic and dominant in the air. Ajer was the opposite.

I look at Starfelt and I see that's not particularly fast, not strong in the air, poor anticipation and he shakes like a broken washing machine with the ball at his feet.

I don't get the signing at all and if it was Ange's then it further compounds the doubts that many have about his ability to organise a defence.
