He’s improved a lot on the ball already this season which is great to see, his reading of the game to snuff out chances is class, got great timing.

We were never replacing ajer with a better footballer but he's by far a better defender. Improving all the time on the ball as well.

    Great signing.

    Come on.

Starfelt has definitely improved but he's not a better defender than Ajer, no way.

    Yes I do, I did say most.:56:
He's OK, I like that he gives 100% but hes a bit limited, hopefully just needs more confidence and someone to show him how to head a ball into the oppositions goal.
Frustrating as he gets on the end of corners and crosses regular enough but only ever seen him once direct it to their goal, he was unlucky that day, but even yesterday the ball that dropped to CCV he had no idea where he was as he goes to head.
Just want better from him tis all.

Definitely think that’s one of the best parts of Jullien’s game, his passing is brilliant.

Julien would suit the way Ange plays far more than Starfelt in my opinion. Starfelt definitely improving though.

You reckon? I think his passing is really ropey at times.. would be interesting to see what he's like with so much of the ball under Ange.

Think Julliens absence has made a lot fonder..:56:

Can be the odd time but I actually rated his passing. Went both ways and usually found the wide man well with it and pretty crisp..

From what I saw of him the other week, he's never ousting Starfelt this season. He was painfully slow..

Whilst true, go back and watch his games. He’s a very good passer of the ball. Where he doesn’t suit is covering in behind, which Ange’s defence needs to do often.

Pre injury I’d probably say covering in behind is the least of the worries I’d have with him in this system in all honesty.

And ye couldny pay me to go back and watch Lennyball.

Wins more headers and his positioning is much better too. Ajer was abysmal in the air for his size and got bullied a lot.

He does the easiest passes well, but even then he looks so * awkward, almost as if he’s playing like he’s got his boots on the wrong feet…

I've been critical at times but he's definitely not as bad as some make out.

And when our backs have been against the wall he's often been the standout. I think there's still room for improvement, but talk of punting him etc is too far IMO.

I'd love to see him grab a goal during this run in, he deserves it.
