Grand old team to play for
He looked over his shoulder and saw Welsh had let their no8 get in front of him so he covered the obvious danger. No idea what Bitton was doing though - he should have been marking the scorer, but ended up in no man's land doing f all.

Think he handled Morelos just fine tbh. Dykes is big, strong and quick. Niang the same, that * from Hamilton the same.

Starfelt should have been better, looked over his shoulder and presumably could see number 8 being marked by Scales and another bodo player in a position to attack the back post if a cross is made. Imo in that situation Starfelt should go and mark 8 with scales pulling further back to clear the cross to the back post if it's put in.

However thats not what caused the goal. It was basically all Bittons fault. Fails to put pressure on Bodo 10 forcing Starfelt to push out of defence to do Bittons job, the ball is then put out wide. Bittons then fails to track number 10 into the box leaving him unmarked, ball is then put in for an easy goal. Was really amatuer stuff.

Usual *. People get comfortable with CCV making zero mistakes and Starfelt next to him gets forgotten about until he makes a mistake, which are few and far between now he’s settled.

He’s as big a part of CCV being so consistent as anything else. CCV also helps him. Great partnerships need two good defenders. Changing that will bring problems.

Think he's been doing OK tbh.. even last night his passing was quite accurate..

He is awkward at times, but he isn't a L/CB .. that's another position we need to fill with quality in the summer.

He's *, has no left foot, he has no ability to step forward and make a telling pass, offers no threat in opposition box and when put under pressure he's a rabbit in headlights. We need much better, an Alan stubbs type.

He had a bad game but has shown more than enough recently to merit his starting spot. Folk have the most mental knee * reactions to things. He's also not the answer long term, but that doesn't mean he's a diddy. If Jullien doesn't come back to top form, a left-sided CB is a must in the summer, but Starfelt will still be a good squad member to have.

Dykes isn’t quick at all. He’s an old school battering ram type.

I really disagree with that, he’s not quick off the mark rapid but he’s a strong fast runner, like Samaras in a way. He’s athletic all the round, runs the channels as well as doing the in the air battering ram stuff.

Thought he was excellent. Composed, defensively solid and took the initiative in trying to make things happen.

Played well, I just wish he'd drive into space more to take us up the park.
