Is there any way to appeal it and get Brown available? Not that they would accept it but is there not a thing where if you apply you're available for upcoming game?

You can appeal any booking but lets be honest that would be as bad as the dive in the game....he * up we have to take it on the chin.

They said on the radio there due to the nature of the tackle he can't appeal :39:

If we can appeal we absolutely should, regardless of how unlikely it is to succeed.

I honestly think the tackle has already been blown out of proportion.

Terrible tackle but the referee (shock) has been influenced by the full county team running at him and the lead up with Boyce and Brown.

I've seen worse tackles get bookings. Bias aside entirely.

If that was a red Boyce should have walked also.

You can appeal straight reds, not two yellows?

Yes it was. That tackle goes in on one of ours and we're screaming for a red

Kiernan appealled his and was eligible to play until appeal was heard. Not sure if that was for a straight red or two yellows tho

Can you? I dunno, I hope we can appeal it. I can't see it being allowed though. I mean come on this is the same SFA that had less police at the cup final last year cause they thought there would be a bus parade down Govan.

The tackle hasn't half been blown out of proportion. It's a yellow every day of the week but never a red card. It's ridiculous.

If that happened to any other player at any other time of the game and it's a yellow and nothing said. Was only a red because it's brown and it's after the penalty etc

They are making it sound worse than it was cos they are scared we appeal it. Guarantee if we did appeal it they'd have the review pretty * quick

Its a tackle a Ref can give a red for and against us he will but teams have put in a dozen like that against us this season with only a booking.

An appeal is not about winning the appeal, its about the player being able to play in games till the appeal is heard.
So we fire in an appeal, the appeal date is normally set in a few weeks and while waiting for the appeal to be heard the player is allowed to play in games.
Its playing the system to get the player for an important game....same as diving for a pen is playing the system.

Stupid late tackle, but a yellow would of sufficed ffs!

I'm disappointed that Broon even went for it knowing what was on the horizon, but understand the frustrataion given the cheating minutes beforehand.

I'm of the opinion that it can be appealed and will be appealed. The appeal will likely be lost, the ban will be extended but he'll be available for the next match.

Unless they fast track the appeal.. :87:

As has been posted in the match thread, the same referee was the one who gave a yellow to Bowman for his tackle on KT.

    * go figure.
