Good to see he’s been recalled to the USA team for upcoming fixtures

Honestly, allowing both him and Murray to be exposed with little real protection from Maeda or Forrest was * * from Rodgers.

Atleast KT has alot of experience playing that LCB role and had Saracchi in front

Aye Maeda hung him out to dry. Were so open on that side.

Well Maeda is a strike or winger. It’s Brendan’s fault playing him right wing. I personally think he should’ve left Donovan on and took Maeda off

Maeda is more than capable of tracking back and helping defensively.

I think it's an overall confidence thing with the entire team right now. We need to somehow go on a run.

I don’t think it’s even a question, he was carrying something. Whether it’s a niggle (hopefully) or something more sinister time will tell but we are so * without him.

He is making the most basic of errors on the ball in Europe. That's just not being tuned in.

He let the ball roll under his foot twice weeks ago, who gives a *? Other than you, clearly.

Guy is a machine for Celtic, one of the absolute best defenders I’ve ever seen for us.

For a guy that defends the mistakes in Scales’ game, you’re very quick to jump on CCV… which is strange considering he is the best CB since VVD and the argument could be made he’s been better for us. He’s got far more skin in the game than Scales.

The guy was immense against Red Star, back to some of his best. Yet here you are after a loss saying he needs dropped. Our CB pairing are not the issue.

Couldn't even work out who was supposed to be Infront of him in the second half. Would have made more sense to put Engels or Balikwisha at right wing back and let Maeda be in the front three.
Can't blame him for anything tonight

For a guy who slaughtered Scales you are some hypocrite.

Slaughtered :giggle1: I said he’s too stiff to be a LB.

How will he ever recover from that.

If you search my posts in his thread, I’ve always backed him.

    As you were.

Complete and utter nonsense. You slaughtered him.

You have double standards. You have the bar set extremely high for Scales and the bar set extremely low for CCV.

You said CCV was immense in Belgrade. That's nonsense, he had a shakey game, he made two poor mistakes in the build up to the goal that led to the corner. One of them was him not jumping with Arnautovic who climbed above him and won the header, he did this again tonight, a lazy piece of defending when rather than trying to win the header he attempted to ease the Braga player out of the way who won the header and got in behind us....CCV turning like a milk tanker nowhere near getting back...as for tonight he was all over the shop.

The second error he made in Belgrade which led to the corner was hack at interception when under no pressure that he completely sliced. He ended up getting back and conceding the corner but had his hand up straight away to acknowledge that it was his fault for the corner being given away. You said he was immense. He actually cost us there.

You have a clear agenda at play. The bar is set very low for one player and very high for another.

    Should we ignore errors?

Should we ignore the corner that led to the goal in Belgrade? Should we ignore him not bothering the jump with the Braga player who won the header and had them in behind us as a result? Should we ignore the underhit pass that Scales had to desperately slide into stop the Braga player going in on goal? He was left exposed tonight fair enough but do we ignore how slow and cumbersome he looked when left one one one?

    Why should we ignore this?

Watch Carter Vickers at 20:00 here. He is miles off it, he should be winning the header all day long, he obviously doesn't realise where Arnautovic is and doesn't jump and loses the header, seconds later he takes a casual swipe at the ball cutting across them and gets it completely wrong.

He is not tuned into his game and I think he needs to be taken out of the team. Maybe he is struggling with the toll of his injuries over the past few seasons but I think he's becoming a problem for us, particularly in Europe.
