Best game in age's I thought..

Took the ball well and constantly exposed them down the left. Deceptively quicker than most think also when he has his bursts..

I'm so * with him for going for goal though when the tap in was so blatantly on. Greedy beyond belief..

I thought he was excellent against Livi. Vital that we keep him.

Don't agree that he's not Captain material. I think with Brown away he will grow in to the role more, Brown is a dominant presence and a tough act to follow. Tierney has had a couple of interviews since he left when he has mentioned his leadership credentials and his influence on the squad, he's obviously well respected by everyone. Making him captain might also be a big factor in keeping him going forward as well.

I honestly just can’t see what reason he would have to stay, already played over 300 games, played in the Champions League, in the Europa League and has won 14 trophies with us.

At 27, still in his peak, I can’t see any reason to stay. Except just that we’re Celtic, and he’s been here since he was 6 years old.

Depends who comes in for him, I suppose.

Unless Leicester sell a midfielder or two, he wouldn’t get in their team. So it might be a good move financially, but if he wants regular football then not so much.

I think on the whole since BR left his performances have been below par to be honest, and any other year I'd be fine with selling him. But with so many changes coming up I think it's vital we keep him.

Maybe being captain (not jist as a stand in) would be a reason for him staying. Cement himself as a legend of his boyhood heroes

I dont think everyone would agree with that. Broony? Aye, with doubt. But I'm not sure people would see McGregor as that if he left now.

Part of a legendary team, but not in his own right. Same Bracket as Petrov, Lustig, Lubo etc. Greats but not legends.

Its all about your interpretation of that word though I suppose

He’s been an absolute key player in part of a Quadruple Treble, scoring in cup finals in that time, a key part of winning 6 titles in a row. Been one of our best players in an absolutely monumental period of success. There’s not many Celtic players that have 14 trophies with us and was a major part of the reason why we could win those trophies.

When it’s all said and done looking back at this time, he’ll definitely be a legend. He’s been with us for 20 years out of his 27 years, first came first came to the club in 2001, went on to play more than 300 games, win 6 League titles, 4 Scottish Cups (with him still being in with a shout for a fifth this season) and 4 League titles. Scored goals in Europe, against the likes of Bayern and a winner in the latter stages of a European competition against Zenit, scored plenty of goals in Old Firm matches and has generally been a big game player for us and one of our most consistent performers.

There are very few players that can match his Celtic career. He’s without doubt a Celtic legend.

Nailed on mate. This is one of the guys that was essential for us to win 4 * trebles in a row.

He’s been on of the biggest reasons for that, that’s more than half the trebles we’ve won in our history. Over 300 appearances and 50 odd goals and assists to get us to 9 in a row? Aye, he’s a legend mate.

People are too quick to gloss over just what guys like him have achieved for us over this period of time.

I’ll be surprised if we see a Celtic career like his for a long, long time.

No way is he a Celtic legend @\o/, come on.. A great? Yes. Potentially a legend? Yes - - but right now? No chance

If you call him a legend then you have to call Forrest and Lustig legends too, * it, might as well chuck Griffiths in the mix as well if you're talking about trophies won and appearances.

James Forrest is an even bigger legend then.

Forrest is, no doubt. Close to be one of... I think it’s 3 to get 100 goals and 100 assists for us, Lennox and Jimmy Johnstone being the other 2. Forrest has been essential for us winning 9 leagues in a row, performed in the Cl and was sadly one of the biggest reasons we didn’t get the ten, he’s been a massive loss this season.

Do people not realise what guys like them have achieved?

People just don’t like calling current players legends, personally I don’t think people have realised what we’ve achieved and it won’t sink in for a while. When all is said and done, a guy that’s been first team for us and essential towards 9 * titles in a row? An Invincible season? 4 Trebles in a row? Can’t be anything other than that.
