stuck playing the defesnive midfield role which is not suited for him, he should be around the box and taking shots where he can get us goals. wasted potential.

He's being criminally under managed and utilised, he's wasting away playing so deep. He's not a DM, you can see that with the daft penalties he's given away this year and the needless yellow cards.
Under Rodgers he was a goal threat, scored for fun and created all sorts.

He was playing both CDM roles the first half, like every game, then he's trying to be left back, right back and goalie in the second. One of many players being ruined by clueless barely-there coaching.

Theres a reason rodgers wanted him at leicester, look how good he was under him.

now lennon has him in a * position which he cant play, hes trying to cover brown, he doesnt know whether to push up or sit back.

    * me we are just an utter complete shambles front to back!

Looked absolutely shattered tonight.. playing in a midfield with Broony and Ntcham it's hardly surprising.. add in the amount of football he has played with Celtic and Scotland..

The best technical player at the club, stifled by the tactics of a walking jobby.

Said it before but Lennon’s biggest accomplishment in football is making Callum McGregor look like a poor footballer.

Our tactics are so bad he’s basically playing LB most of the time.

I get that he had a lot of games and hardly any breaks for last 4 seasons ...... but did COVID not happen this years did the players not get a huge rest ??? Don’t think that’s why his form is poor ... just don’t think they have been training right since the start of the season

How long ago was the break for the pandemic? It’s not like a bank of energy that can then be used indefinitely.

He’s played almost every minute of every game of 29 games already. He can’t play perpetually 3 games a week forever more.

Why does Callum mcgregor seem to be last man every time? Cant wrap my head around it. Hes been caught out with some last ditch pathetic challenges.

Played absolutely outstanding next to ryan jack at Scotland too in a midfield position where hes best

What I remember most from his early appearances were the important goals he popped up with at critical points.

Great player. Don't think he'll be with us much longer the way things are going.

Plays for the jersey but that can only go on so long. Definitely deserves better and for those around him to similarly be doing it for the badge.

Just doesn’t work playing him and brown together. He needs Christie beside him, not brown, worked a treat before

Hes neither a defensive or holding midfielder, he's being used in an attempt to look after our back line and Brown in midfield. This is not where his abilities lie, going forward is where he's best but he can't trust those around him. Let's hope we see him in a more advanced role as soon as Scott Brown is benched.

This is why all the top coaches drill the players in defensive positioning and pressing.
In fact even mediocre coaches do it. You all know the shape and you all follow the pattern of play as a well drilled unit.
This is what is lacking from us in even the minutest form.
McGregor for a minute probably thought he was playing for Rodgers and was expecting the whole area to be pressed.

Mental how it’s so * obvious what our problems are but we are doing * all about it, or so it seems.
