    Our best player and has been playing in Roles that aren’t his best for ages. He’s a 10 and best when he’s playing quick passes with the two strikers or picking out an overlapping run from the wing. But because he’s such a quality player and workhorse he’s asked to play a role in the centre of the park picking everything up. All our play goes through him at some point whether it be defence or attack. We should be just utilising his attacking prowess and leaving the donkey work for some other *

    He must see all the other guys like McGinn, McArthur, Tomminay and others that play down in the EPL get paid very well for it, get plaudits and think why hang around for CL football if we never make a proper go of it.

    Also look at the likes of McGregor who came on under Rodgers and thinks why not go play for him again.

    Exactly what I thought. He already admitted last season that he was aware of Leicester's interest in him but didn't want to push for a move. Could he have had a change of heart this time around (if of course rumours are true).

    Came out last season he apparently wanted away. Hasn’t really been the same player since, bar a handful of games.

    I’ll be gutted if he goes.

    I agree he hasn’t been at his best but I don’t think sitting as part of the deep lying two in a 4-2-3-1 is his best position.

    He was noticeably more effective in the 3-5-2 where he had more licence to get forward. He also looked good playing as a deep lying playmaker when we had The McGregor, Christie and Rogic midfield during the first half of 2018/19 season.

    What O'Dea said was true, ideally we'd have a McGregor at number 10 and a McGregor playing deeper where he does play, he's probably our best player in both positions but he plays deeper as hes much better there than other people who play there where as we have other decent options in the 10.
