Not defending McGregor at all In the above he definitely should have made the pass, just thought the way he took on the shot looked like he knew that himself

He knew the pass was on the whole time, when he skied his shot he knew straight away he'd made a complete * of it.

He's in good goalscoring form and is confident at the moment and thats why he'* it I think. Horrendous decision though cause it was such a simple pass to eddy.

Makes it all the weirder because for our goal when he made the pass he could have hit that but refused.

Honestly, I think he thought Eddy was offside and went for it instead. Wrong decision but it’s that rare for him it can be easily forgiven

BRENDAN RODGERS will make a £25million bid to sign Callum McGregor this summer.

The Leicester City boss failed in an approach for the Hoops midfielder last August.

Rodgers is now set to make a second attempt to land McGregor at the end of the season.

The Foxes gaffer is braced for a massive £80m Man United bid for star midfielder James Maddison.

But it’s understood Rodgers wants McGregor regardless of whether the England man moves on or not.

The former Celtic boss helped take the midfielder’s game to a new level during his two-and-a-half years at Parkhead.

He was keen to bring him to Leicester for the start of this campaign — but was told to back off.

Celtic chiefs then handed McGregor a bumper new five-year deal in November, with a massive pay hike.

The Scotland star is now Hoops vice-captain and Neil Lennon won’t want to lose him in the summer.

But Rodgers is prepared to push the boat out and a £25m bid would match the record fee Arsenal paid for Kieran Tierney.

And the Leicester boss is confident that would be enough to land the 26-year-old at the second attempt.

25M is nothing for a top 4 EPL side, what a cheek.

Only him or eddy will be sold. No chance will we be losing 2. If I had to choose then I'll keep eddy another year.

Calmac would do well down there but we don’t want to lose any of our best players .

    * off..

Wouldn't let him go there for below 40..

They'll have champion's league football. 80 mill for Maguire just gone and will get mental fees for likes of Maddison 100 mill in the summer or that..

McGregor has just signed a 5 year deal and coming in to his prime..

25 is nowhere near enough in today's market..

Yous all seem to already have the same points covered anyway, but here goes...

No chance man, 25m is laughable. Look at the fees down there for some absolute dross.
CalMac is a proven European and international regular, just signed a new deal, absolute baller, great engine and eye for goal. Potential future captain and can play any CM and probably wide role also, rather than just being limited to DM/CM/AM exclusively. No doubt he would absolutely shine down there and should be valued at 40m at least, however I don't think I'd sell him no matter what.

That's how I see it also.

Replacing McGregor will be easier than finding a replacement for Edouard.

We upped his wage to £37k a week in November, so we're doing all we can to keep a hold of him.

I hope he is a 1 club man. Clearly the best player we have, don't think I've seen him have a bad game even when playing left back!

The best player we have? I rate him highly but that's some statement.
