He needs a rest, no way he should be starting against Kilmarnock next week, same with Forrest

Reluctant to jump into any tackles today .
Not his normal high energy game today .

In the long run, it pays off to rest your top performers *see Tierney's decline for example as to affects of NOT doing it*

Noticed something today about wee Calmac, when he receives the ball facing our defence, he turns round and gets his head up and passes quickly in a way that reminds me very much of a left-footed Paul Lambert.

Not when they’re in the form they are. What is that, 6 goals in 7 games? Just play them when they’re like that. When they take a wee dip, take them out.

Can give an hour instead of a full 90 minutes etc.

Think that’s by far the best thing about McGregor. His awareness is exceptional.

Yeah he's making sure he doesn't get injured till the transfer window opens in January when the rat makes a 20 million bid again and think that's the problem his head is somewhere else .

Cal is open to the move and has let celtic know. There is a 4 year contract on the table that will make him one of the highest earners at celtic, its exspected he will sign it and move on in the next window, with the new contract securing Celtic a bigger transfer fee.

The amount of games he's played look like they're starting to take their toll..

    Wouldn't have started him today.

He still needs a rest, regardless of whether his head has been turned or not. He won't be rested on Thursday, so I hope he gets a break next weekend. But he probably won't.

Dont think his wages would come into play regarding any transfer fee ;it would be down to years left on contract and how big a noise the player is prepared to make about leaving .

I'm pretty sure he didn't mean the wages would have anything to do with it.
Moreso the time left on his contract could mean a bigger fee for us. :celt_2:

He's playing way too deep, it was fine when he had Christie and Rogic to hit in that QB role which he excelled at, but he either needs moved up the park as we have enough back or stick him on bench as this style does t suit him.

Tbh I think I get what they're trying to do pull opposition players up park and let a defender and wing backs attack up park with the space.

For me Brown is key, you can try dropping him to go back to that style under BR, but you lose energy and a bit of steel as for me Broony has been our most consistent midfielder this calendar year. (thought he was a bit off yesterday).

McGregors ball winning ability is alongside Craig Gordon's penalty saves.

So composed, he had a brilliant game. Set the tone for us on the ball the whole night.

His best performance this year. I don't think he lost the ball.
